Another sigh of relief. And Kenta got out of the inning before he had to pitch to Yelich. Really not sharp today but at least he got the job done so far.
And here I thought I was the only one on this site who likes the game without DH. But if you so freely admit it, so do I. My pick to click: Kenta does not run the bases, he jogs around them after hitting the first Twins bomba of the season. (And yeah, I know, it's unlikely. But that's what a pick to click is for. )
This is great for Randy but I also don't see how the Twins could possibly lose with this contract. $9.25 million for five years, that's not even $2 million per year. Even if he gets hurt and never pitches an inning again, that's hardly crippling the Twins. That kind of money is what a somewhat decent reliever makes on the open market and I think "somewhat decent reliever" is Randy's absolute floor. If he manages to stick as a starter, this contract could turn into an absolute steal. Shrewd move.
Yeah, I know, but somehow I hadn't realized that this would be the rule for walk offs too. Anyway, nice to see our pitchers do so well. And the hitting, well, let's just attribute that to small sample size...
Apparently, this is the game. Weird way to finish it off. Miguel Sanó hits a walk off double but they just continue to play. 2021 spring training, I guess...
Well, it was the third spring training game and their runs came against Barnes, Coulombe and Gibaut... I wish we could have seen Winder's inning after there was so much talk about him. Sounded like he did really well.
