  1. Did you see the video??? He looked like a human post hole auger, not an MLB outfileder. I'll give him credit for one thing, he at least made it looked like he was trying. I could watch that video for the rest of my life and laugh everytime!! Love it.
  2. My Canadianess questioned over my dislike of a Nasally Prog Rocker from Toronto? That's like being called Un-Canadian because I don't like the Blue Jays (the MLB team, not the birds, although come to think of it I don't much care for the birds either). Is your Americaness tied to an obligation to love Yes, ELO or any other band who records concept albums instead of deciding to, you know, end a song! (Sorry, that sounded a bit harsh). Although I will give Lee some begrudging respect for recording "Take Off" with Bob and Doug McKenzie. Gord Downie and his Hip brethren, check, seen those guys more time than I can remember, actually I don't remember any of it but I've been told I had fun. Burton Cummings, well being from his hometown I have a bit of a love-hate relationship. He's an obnoxious egomaniac but I love him enough to have played on a hockey team called The Wheatfield Souldiers (see photo, nice jersey eh)? As far as our military is concerned, have you seen the price of hockey sticks these days? We can't afford heavy military equipment and maintain world hockey domination! Priorities my fine friend. Besides we live next door to you guys, what do you spend, 1,000,000,000,000,000? Close? Don't worry though, when the trouble starts, we'll be there, we'll bring the beer, beauty eh? P.S. Zenon Kenopka? How about The Grim Reaper or Tony Twist, Basil McRae, the three Daves (Schulz, Semenko, Brown), the list goes on, Kenopka couldn't carry those guys drinks.
  3. Whoooooooohoooooooo....I smell a run coming!
  4. Morneau plays grounder and makes the out himself at 1st.....no sign of a concussion as of yet.
  5. Ok Cappy, 4 run lead, loosen your pants and close it out!
  6. Can we hit 2 guys from the 5 hole? Let's find out.
  7. Morneau has hit the ball hard all night, nice to see, and see him playing first.
  8. This could and maybe should be the lineup and order we've been looking for.
  9. No worries, Duensing gets it done.
  10. FINALLY!!!! Key hits in the same game by Doumit and Valencia, that's the way.....................good thing Cano's throw was high, he was out.
  11. Are you kidding me Granderson?....seriously?!!! Great hit, greater catch, wow!
  12. Well that sounds like a great time and all.....................I think........except the Tim McCarver part...and the inflatables (little creepy), oh yeah and I can't stand Geddy Lee (and I'm Canadian). Curious as to why he would be singing a variation of Oh Canada for the anthem, but hey, it's your party. The only problem here is the every team will win 54 games part, we all gleefully remember the 2003 Tigers, let's keep it a gleeful memory that stays in Detroit. I'm far too hopeful to think that will happen and way too rational to worry about it at this stage, but your pseudo-guarantee makes me nervous.
  13. Pardon me?.........421 feet.........say goodnight lucy.
  14. There is a real world of MLB? Is it some kind of 4th dimension thing? Do the players there make $50,000 a year like most real people? This is pretty enlightening stuff!
  15. Bases loaded? Lol, who are you trying to kid? We're discussing the Twins at bat.
  16. Actually I think it's, you may be right, I may be crazy. It's the right move right now, for Revere's sake as much as the Twins. He can still bring a lot to this team, someday, it's way more likely he will eventually bring it by playing in AAA everyday right now.
  17. With 6 picks in the top 100 the Twins could afford to take the BPA with the 2 pick and stock up on some hard throwers with a few others, as Seth points out those type of guys are always valuable. I'm not sure there are any "high-end" rotation types anyway so using the 2 pick on someone who you hope fits that category might not be the best option. However, I will never manage an MLB team, nor should I, so this is my half-assed,armchair opinion.
  18. Yeah, I'd have to agree, I expressed surprise that Plouffe came in at 2nd base in game one instead of Hughes, since then Hughes hasn't done anything for that not being the best option. I'm not completely down on Hughes yet but he is the most redundant player right now, Plouffe is arguably a little more versatile and if the team needs some depth at catcher or utility Hughes would be the odd man out right now...............except he's out of options, s it ain't gonna happen. My dreams of a Hughes-Dozier middle infield is entering the nightmare stages.
  19. Could use another RHP who can throw pretty hard in the pen, for that price, not a bad idea.
  20. Where, other than a baseball stadium would you hear all of those tunes at the same time................nowhere, I love baseball. Denard Span must think Josh Willingham is whack!
  21. Who we taking?, Do we get Appel? If not do we take Buxton or go for Giolito? Do we take the pitching or go for the best available player, if that is not the same thing. Gausman, Fried? Who, who, thoughts, opinions???
  22. From all my experiences in Minnesota, you're right, that is just flat out wrong.
  23. Swarzak goes back to the pen, need him in long relief more right now, Gray goes down, although maybe Burnett. Both probably end up there if Wardrop comes back and is effective in Rochester. He would have had a spot if he didn't get injured.
  24. That's what I'm talking about!! That's a heavy hitting lineup, let's go Swarzy!!!
