My life is pretty much based on that album.

    what conversion is that?
  4. twinsnorth49
Yeah metric has never caught on in the US, what's with that SABRMETRIC community anyway? You'd think they might find a use for it.

So wait, Gardy's already home in bed?

Who da thunk my kid's hockey camp tomorrow would also interfere with tonight's game.
  9. twinsnorth49
So I take it I should spare myself the replay?
  10. twinsnorth49
Ummm......I hope that's all he had in mind.....

Me too but it happens in every sport, anytime a gifted athlete comes along he's almost immediately annointed as the next greatest player ever, before ever even playing a pro game. Media hype sells.

Well, if top prospects are a 50/50 proposition, we're looking good!

Anyone think this could turn into a good rivalry? Two cities that have knowledgeable fan bases, close geograpically and we share a border and now a division. I'm looking forward to it and plan to add another Minneapolis (St Paul, I know) trip to take in a road game. Setoguchi now playing for Wpg adds a little extra spice as well.

More damn kids hockey again tonight!Once more relegated to the loneliness of the archived game on MLBTV. Enjoy the game thread...and hopefully the game too. Dear hockey gods, please forgive me for cursing the game in vain.

You're right, who cares about integrity and honesty, this is America, lying is much more profitable. Does choosing to be a fan mean I relinquish my right to be critical when it is merited?

I agree that 2 are signed, this thread is eerily similar to last off season in what people think the Twins may realistically sign in the potentially higher class (Johnson, Jimenez, Hughes) types. My bet is one of Saunders/Pelfrey type and one of Baker/Marcum/Santana as the annual reclamation pick. Tanaka? In the immortal words of President George H.W. Bush, "Not gonna do it".

Sorry, couldn't resist, I just think it's about this likely.

Funny, this topic crossed my mind watching the game last night. I believe Mauer's absence represents a great opportunity for Dozier to develop a leadership role with the team and I get a sense he's doing that. His play in the field and at the plate has been very good and he appears very disciplined and focused the last couple of months. I think that's a great indication that he knows what is required to succeed and is willing to put in the work on a consistent basis, particularly at a time it must be very difficult to stay motivated. I think those things are strong signs of emerging leadership.

Yeah, school and work do not go well together in my book.
  20. twinsnorth49
But now that you're in, you can put it in cruise control and get just good enough grades to get a part time job with your part time MBA when you graduate. Good luck!

Let's talk about payroll, that should cover you through Christmas break.
  22. twinsnorth49
So what's the big deal with this Trout fellow? All I saw was a faceplant into the fence......
  23. twinsnorth49
