    Padres have great highly rated minor league depth. Rosario for a couple top pitching prospects could make sense for both teams.

    Twins will not come close to signing Cole. Period. Would put too many eggs in one basket.

    You might be correct. But I think you are wrong on FO management of bullpen. Twins 2nd half in 2019 was very very impressive with good development internally. FO doesn’t put guys on their 40 man roster without a good game plan for the addition. Time will tell.

    Yes. With 26 man roster in 2020 Twins have a need and spot for Cron. Deep minor league system currently doesn’t have a 3rd baseman ready for 2020. Should have one in 2021.

    Congrats to Rowson. Helped Twins make significant progress. FO will make good adjustments.

    FO won’t bring back Dyson or Perez. Better to sign a free agent or develop within. $$$$ saved can be spent more wisely.

    Better chance of pigs flying than FO making those moves. Would be horrible mistake to spend $$$$$$ like that versus operating like Tampa Bay does.

    Very sound analysis. Those Twins fans clamoring for Cole, Strasburg etc are going to be disappointed. Dodgers annual massive payroll good example $$$$ doesn’t guarantee a World Series appearance or win. FO 2020 moves will be much more in line with your thoughts. The Pohlad bashers are emotional louts. Twins FO approach of building infrastructure and trying to develop every player to the best of his ability is logical and cost effective. For reasonable Twins fans the FO game plan may create a period of regular season success and a competitive post season team.

    Tigers don’t change their stripes. KG has always been an obstinate head case. Twins won’t pay him what his elevated self worth thinks is due him. Wes Johnson and staff can spend their time more effectively than trying to get KG to change.

    Way off on all comments. I can’t think of any American League team not jumping at Cruz if he was available. You are not giving Odorizzi enough credit for what his marketability will be this off season. Cron is not a defensive liability. Strike three. Your out.

    New FO has done a stunningly brilliant job in redefining the Twins. However, for what Escobar’s reasonable 3 year Diamondbacks deal was signed for, it would be very interesting to know the inside details why Twins and Escobar couldn’t agree to the same deal before or after the trade. Pressly trade not so good. Would have liked to see current pitching coach Wes Johnson have had a chance to refine Pressly like Houston did. Many AAA September call ups are indeed just auditioning for 2020.

    Gibson is his own worst enemy. Based on his pitching record, he is neither under appreciated nor hard luck. He is obstinate and apparently has rejected several Twins pitching coaches attempts to get him to pound the zone. He seems like a good guy and was very unfortunate to get sick on a goodwill mission. But his free agency this year will result in huge discounts from what he could and should have been able to sign for because of his obstinacy.

    FO will make correct decision for this year’s playoffs. Same in 2020. Graterol is a huge potential asset going forward and will be treated accordingly.

    Gibby is his own worst enemy. No reason to feel sorry for him for his Twins tenure. He is obstinate and apparently difficult for pitching coaches. His getting sick on a humanitarian mission was very unfortunate. Everything else Gibby has done to himself. His free agency at year end will not end well for him. Tigers don’t change their stripes !!
