  1. My Gut feeling... The Twins do very little at the Deadline.
  2. Gunarthor... Because you made fun of the process... You have been banned for 3 seconds. The Banning started at Hour 20 Minute 29 and 13 Seconds. It concluded at Hour 20 Minute 29 and 19 Seconds. Your account has been credited for the extra 3 seconds served.
  3. You sir... Have Talent!!!
  4. I'm gonna go with small sample size. It's a Multi purpose explanation that really works in a lot of cases. For example: Mayor: "Can someone explain what is going on... This was our city's 2nd rogue Kangaroo attack on one of our citizens in the past 5 Days... Do we have a Kangaroo problem"? Zookeeper: "There is no Problem... We are talking a very small sample size here". Restaurant Owner: "Hey Hey... Look at this... 2nd day on the menu and we just sold our first order of Steamed Rat... Let's set those traps nightly to make sure we don't run out of supply". Head Chef: Umm... This would be a good time to consider sample size". Girls I dated back when I used to Date: "Ohh Riverbrian... You are the best. I've never been with anyone like you" Riverbrian: Yeah I know
  5. LOL... I'm a slow learner... Actually... I think it's possible that I've stopped learning altogether. Wait... Ummm... Would you believe that it's the auto correct?
  6. Minnesotans are hearty folk... They can sit in RF with Parka Swimwear.
  7. So you last had a drink 10 years ago and it's still effecting you?
  8. If I could build a stadium... First off... I'd love to... But If I could build a stadium... 1. The very back of the stadium would be exactly 500 feet from plate across the whole outfield. That way... Any ball that makes it out of the entire stadium would be over 500 feet for sure. 2. The RF bleachers would be a splash zone. Any Home Team Home run would shoot a ton of water into the Right Field Bleachers soaking everyone. Those who buy a ticket for RF would understand that getting wet is entirely possible. 3. I would have Corners that jut out along the lines making a really Short porch around the Foul Poles... A out 70 feet of maybe 6 seats wide around the foul poles making it like 280 feet from home plate down the line on both sides... It would quickly go to 350 or on the other side. 4. Outfield Fences would be 7 feet high... More ground rule doubles... But more Home Run Thefts and the occasional player flipping into the stands.
  9. Its awful... That Fish Sculpture is so hokey...
  10. But I am suffering... I'm watching Chopped!!!
  11. GLORM!!! How ya Been Glorm? Now you Type -- I've Been Thirsty... I am Thirsty and I will Be Thirsty!!!
  12. I don't fear her frying pan... It makes a Doink Sound... You rub your head and go on with life. I fear... Her letting me know... How wrong I am. For an hour or week.
  13. Thats Funny... I'm gonna try that... Actually I'll run out of the room... A fast shuffle at least
  14. Ok... I have an hour to watch the game before I have to leave and my wife has the TV and she is watching the food network... Do I... A. Recognize her right to the TV and respect her TV Choice and watch it with her. B. Stand up and declare... I'm the man of the house and we are watching the Twins. C. Go to a smaller TV.
  15. BTW... If any of you are thinking of sending a gift to Ashbury... The 30th Anniversary is the Pearl Anniversary. So I'm sending him an 89 year old lady named Pearl that lives down the block from me. She will bake some Banana Bread... Hang some Doilies over his chairs in the house and leave.
  16. It never seems to work that way though. I'm actually excited to watch Fernandez throw. I hope it doesn't turn out well but the kid has a live arm and was fun to watch when I saw him earlier in the year. I'm going to get about an hour in before I got to leave. BTW... Ashbury is celebrating his 30th Wedding Anniversary tonight... I know that 30 years with the same woman sounds incredibly crazy to most of us (23 years for me... So I can say that)... However... I think he actually likes his wife so good for him. Ashbury has to go do some stuff because of the celebration and won't be game threading. Can someone step up and be extra funny in his place?
  17. It's an interesting question... Draft position is important however I'd have to say winning games is more important... and I'd add a big "Kind Of" attached to that definite statement I just made. One extra win every 10 games is a 16 game differential and when you look at the margins between first and last... 16 games is a huge dent and within every teams reach. Yes the extra wins matter because even the worst team on paper is closer than most think and the teams toward the bottom need to learn to become winners and they should go for it every day. And... Just because the draft experts label a draft 3 or 8 deep... It doesn't mean they are right. Kohl Stewart may end up not panning out or he may be better than Appel or Gray. That stuff happens every year in the draft.
  18. Rosario would certainly be on my no trade list as well and I haven't seen him play. I think Middle Infielders are hard to find in every system. Look at the price tag Arizona paid for Didi. Atlanta refused to part with Simmons for Upton. Profar with the Rangers for Upton was a no go. I realize that these guys are SS's but it does seem that quality middle infield has a steep price tag attached to them and I think the Twins should follow suit.
  19. I agree with you however I'm just not sure that he would be the right pitcher.
  20. I'm drooling... Drooling... I believe is a primary symptom of Buxton Fever!!!
  21. I continue to contend that all can play. You just have to sit Willingham, Morneau or Doumit, (Even Arcia and Mauer on occasion) every 5th day or so. In my opinion... It won't kill Willingham, Morneau, Doumit or the team to do so. The roster is 25... Play em all.
  22. 1. AT&T Park San Francisco -- From my list of parks I've been to... It's #1 by far. The Bay... The structure... Sat in RF and could see the break and velocity of every pitch... I still don't know how the architects pulled that off. 2. Kaufman Kansas City -- For an older stadium... It feels modern... The fountains are classic. This thing was built for the future along time ago. 3. Target Field Minnesota -- Proud to call it my home park... It's great but it is over hyped. 4. Rangers Ballpark Texas -- Everything was top notch... The food... The Views... Everything. 5. Old Tiger Stadium Detroit -- Just liked it... The overhang... The history. 6. Miller Park Milwaukee -- I don't get the criticism... I had SRO's and stood behind home plate... Right next to a beer and food stand. Loved every minute of it... I like the Sausage Race... Bernie Brewer and the big glass looking out into nothingneess behind the outfield. 7. Old Yankee Stadium New York -- I appreciated the history... Where I was...nothing else was special. 8. Safeco Seattle -- The Stadium was just nice... I hated the Train and its freaking Horn. SAt in left field and it was lowwwd. 9. Progressive Field Cleveland -- The Park was just Ok... The People of Cleveland are great... Fun Atmosphere. 10. Old Comiskey Park Chicago -- Rough Neighborhood. Hated White Sox. Stupid decor. 11. Metrodome Minnesota -- Only the memories make it tolerable. Bad views... Having to sit sideways to watch along the baselines... Lost balls in the roof... The impossible to understand PA system and horrible food. I did like being blown out the door at the end of the game. 12. Rogers Center Toronto -- Miserable... Bad upper deck seats... Could hardly see the baseball as we baked in the Canadian Sun. Just a plastic piece of junk.
