    From a pure defensive standpoint... I wouldn't trade him for any another CF. However... he is young and some youthful mistakes can happen. He cost us a win in that game against the White Sox that you mentioned. He had plenty of time to get set. By not getting his feet set and himself in throwing position... he turned a fairly routine throw into a terrible throw, allowing the tying run to score from third. The runner had no business tagging on that shallow fly. If Buxton does it right... the runner should have been out with room to spare and the Twins could have won it in regulation. But Yeah... He's good... I wouldn't trade him for anyone defensively.

    The Twins started spring training with 8 sensible defensible SP options: Santana Santiago Gibson Hughes May Mejia Berrios Duffey May is out with injury Duffey was moved to the pen Gibson and Mejia have been tried and sent down. This starting pitching tank is on "E" and there isn't a gas station to be found. Wilk... That's our front office walking around with a gas can... looking for drips of fuel... in the couch cushions.

    I am exhausted hearing about projection. I have no idea what Vargas will be 2 years from now. Paul Molitor has no idea what Vargas will be 2 years from now. But Paul Molitor can certainly influence where he is 2 years from now if makes decisions based on his personal projections and not what is happening on the field. Vargas has 4 HR's in 39 AB's. with .282 BA. Dozier has 4 Hr's in 105 AB's with a .229 BA. Dozier will play everyday... Vargas? If Vargas isn't playing everyday right now? Projection would be the only reason why he would sit since performance screams play him while he is hot. Our projections have been pretty much worthless for the past 5 years and we need to try another method like looking at actual performance. If Molitor doesn't play him right now while he is hot... Molitor would be too egotistical for the job. Do I trust Paul... not after Vargas ended up in Rochester after a month worth of major league 1,000 plus OPS last year. PLAY HIM... He's earning it. If he's earning it... GET OUT OF HIS WAY. I'm tired of projection and don't want to hear about it anymore.
