    Yup. Fangraphs' Def for Edouard is -4.4, on a scale where -5.0 is giving your fellow defenders wedgies as they attempt to make a play. That said, leaving his .285/.359/.518 bat out of the lineup is the sort of thing that helps make a manager expendable.

    It was fun to watch the 1b ump's matter-of-fact facial expression as he explained to the rest of the crew how he made that foul ball call despite his junk's life flashing before his eyes.

    Watching the game with the FS1 announcers for a change, with their occasional objectivity and empiricism, reminded me that Dick Bremer's voice is like a subconscious Manchurian Candidate trigger for my brain to not expect much from the Twins.

    Joey Gallo, lumberjackin'... And a 3 run homer is really just about the ideal payback for Kluber hitting everybody but the Durham Bulls mascot. Yeah, it was probably mostly his control being off but there wasn't a lot of remorse on that face.

    I'd rather have seen Vazquez take the most obvious and hittable called 3rd strike in MLB history than strike out swinging at ball 4 after Press took the 3 second violation or whatever to bring it to a full count.
