Loved the animation and 60's scifi movie mainframe sound effect. It doesn't care much for names that end with vowels. LaBombo => Labsy => No thanks. Pretty sure that what it generated from my real last name is a Yiddish curse word...

Yeah, the notion of Deduno as untouchable seems like a stretch. He wasn't able to make a rotation that still stands a reasonable chance of being one of the ten or even five worst in the majors, and his initial foray into relief has been...what's the positive word? Adventure?

Yeah. As I understand it the intent of the rule is to prevent the pitcher from faking out batters and baserunners. Hard to see how a microtremor like that could have anybody jumping out of their shoes, but it was technically illegal. Sigh.

Good to hear. Looks like a smart move, and another sign that Ryan is back in business. In fact, it's so encouraging it's enough to make up for the disappointment of knowing that there's now a much lower probability that we'll get to hear Bert's search-and-destroy pronunciation skills tackle 'Sulbaran'. fwiw, my money was going to be on 'Sulburban', pronounced like the SUV.

Deduno hasn't pitched since Friday and has only thrown an inning and two thirds. This seems like the kind of situation that they wanted him in the pen for, basically as a second starter when the first guy can't go at least 5. If so, bring him in with the bases empty, please...
