    Hughes now holds the MLB season record for K/BB for a pitcher throwing more than 150 innings. Give him the bonus, Dave SP. In yet another lost season with very few bright spots, rewarding one of them with a 500k bonus is worth twice that in desperately needed good PR.

    Doing our best, as long as it doesn't detract overmuch from the more important discussion of the qualities of calitas, such as fragrance and tendency to rise up through the air. Long story, unfortunately. Anyway, they're winning (Twins, not calitas), which might explain why a handful of posters are freaking out and hosting a calita convention instead of celebrating a rare lead in another bad season. I'm looking at me, LaBombo. In other news, good to see you here. Pretend a bunch of inebriated fellow Twins fan inmates just shouted "Norm!" in response to your arrival. Except you're not named Norm or morbidly obese, and we're not the folks hanging out at cheers. First two exceptions, anyway.

    When I first heard the song I was so pre-adolescently uninformed that "colitas" sounded like a gender-specific body part and the gender it belonged to was probably female because Don Henley's voice sounded marginally male.

    For years it was my shameful secret that I liked the song, but didn't love it enough to ask anyone the meaning of the word that was about as contextually sensible to me as 'warm smell of Doritos'. With all that the internet potentially offers to inform, one of the first things I searched for after going on line for the first time in the mid-90's was what the bleep was rising up through the air at the Hotel California exit ramp. That search led almost immediately to KissThisGuy. com. My reference to Midnight at the Oasis is a tip of the cap to both the decision to include 'how did you find out' you misheard a lyric option in the contributions, and the person who confessed that the situation when they misheard 'Midnight after you're wasted' " was "After midnight. I was wasted".
