  1. No, just their stuff.
  2. The question the Twins front office should be increasingly answerable to is 'How many non-expansion managers of four consecutive 90+ loss seasons since WWII have been allowed to return for another season.' That answer is one. Subtract the managers with two World Series rings and the answer is zero.
  3. It's kind of like the Vikings marketing department came up with a script for this game designed to make the 'conflicts' between their games and the Twins' irrelevant...
  4. Employees included. So 2500 fans. That's bad, especially for a relatively new stadium and a bankable (former?) star like Mauer.
  5. So you passed up a chance to pitch the Twins to a win in order to attend to personal business and help the Twins have a chance for a better draft choice next year? Well done, sir. Well done.
  6. Yes, the subdural hematoma suffered by the Twins deserves both immediate medical attention and direct intervention from Schemeel, schlemazel, STATs n' effers Incorporated. There are, oh, Idunno, 3 people in the 40+ seats visible behind home plate. Prolly not a big deal with all the people who need to be at work first thing on a Saturday morning... Only 80 losses, Dirt? You sure? It doesn't seem a bit over 77....
  7. Flash some gang signs so we know it's you, bro. Unless you feel it will detract from the overall dignity of the proceedings. Your call.
  8. John Kerry is up now, loosening up his salute arm...
  9. Dick, Bert, and Rob Antony?
  10. Counting on Trout complacency from reaching 100 RBI to keep him from putting one out.
  11. Or phone a very special friend, or else Guinness. World record people, not 'Beer Made from Hops and Brownies' people.
  12. Let me guess. Borrowed your credit card to go get takeout because 'Art can't be hurried'?
  13. Darn. Schafer bails them out, so no extra insurance runs for the Angels to make me dismiss Duensing's performance as meaningless. Relative to other moments in the game, as opposed to season outcome. Also, is it just me, or is it bad marketing strategy for a 90-loss team to use music in its in-game ads/lowlights that closely resembles 'Adagio for Strings', the heart-wrenching orchestral arrangement that accompanies the most dramatically depressing scenes of the movie 'Platoon'? This season is painful enough without music that evokes Willem Dafoe's dying reach to the sky for a rescue that will never come.
  14. Oooh. Yeah. Dude, not an art critic, but that whole thing with the attempted nude sculpture was a big red flag. Especially the coin flip about who was going to be nude.
  15. Hard to argue with that, and perfect Vulcan mind meld of game situation and thread tangent. But for what it's worth, and it's not much due to the obscurity level, B&J offer these other possibilities: Phish food, Hazed and Confused, Half Baked, and my favorite, What a Cluster. No, really. Ask Hocking, he'll corroborate.
  16. Even a propane torch would be a step up over Duensing, and he may descend to disposable Bic territory before it's over.
  17. Gave that a like just because it was nice to know that someone else shared my absolute sense of doom in that case.
  18. Duensing in. What could go wrong, other than the Angels producing a batter, lefties included, who can stand in the right-handed batter's box and wave the bat around a bit?
  19. Never took it personally. They knew about my default on an eye lent to me by my next door neighbor years ago, a Rooster something-or-other whose last name escapes me at the moment.
  20. Early intervention is key. Mine came when a college friend found me licking Fiesta Sundae dishes, Blizzard cups and Dilly Bar wrappers from the dumpster behind DQ. Clean since, unless you count the O'Dooles' of ice cream, frozen custard, and even that only on summer holidays.
  21. Yeah, just didn't feel like chiseling the two extra digits. If the over-under for wins in 2015 is a half win, gonna bet all the money in the couch cushions on the over. That's what Vargas Fever can do to a Twins fan after a long winter.
  22. Had one lend me an ear at just a quarter point above prime.
  23. If the Twins can get back to being a respectable .V team next year it may be cause to party like it's MCMXCIX....
