  1. That's one way to hit the quota without lengthening the game. On another depressing note, as mentioned before the Twins have been swept in 8 three-game series, pending the outcome of a rain makeup. The MLB team swept in the most 3 game series last season was the Phillies. They were swept 10 times. All season.
  2. TD, the silver bullet remedy for all your Minnesota Twins futility woes... http://images.medscape.com/pi/features/drugdirectory/octupdate/GWS0132Z.jpg
  3. My bad, one of those sweeps, against Baltimore, included a rain postponement, so they'll have a chance to unsweep that series in the makeup game, if they haven't been contracted by then.
  4. Home runs, or... relentlessly cheerful and unrealistically optimistic Twins fans?
  5. 8th time the Twins have been swept in a series this year, doubling the number of 3 game series they were swept in during the entire 2016 season.
  6. My vote is Bruno, I guess. Bucky Buchanan if he were still around.
  7. "Forget it, James, it's TwinkyTown." http://www.dvdizzy.com/images/c/chinatown-04.jpg
  8. Dozier down on strikes again... 'Be veeewwy quiet! We'we hunting foa fastbawls!' http://www.hunter-ed.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Elmer_fudd.jpg
  9. If it happens at a Twins game, a Twins fielder will probably end up kicking it, and you'll finally make it on to ESPN's Top Ten Plays of the Night like you've always wanted.
  10. Two turds enter, one turd leaves... http://edushyster.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/thunderdome.jpg
  11. Keep posting those until you put the finishing touches on your Eduardo Nunez voodoo doll.
  12. On behalf of mourning 'Try Mauer leading off!' fans everywhere...
  13. Thanks, and if I had known you were going to enjoy it that much, I probably would have taken the time to correct 'dye' to 'die'.
  14. At least two or three times a game, Twins baserunners (when there are any) look completely caught off guard when fielders make relatively routine plays, as if the defender suddenly flashed hidden X-men/ Fantastic 4 mutant powers and caught a ball with a 30 foot arm or teleported over to the foul line. Aggressive base running is great in the right situation, and when tempered with common sense. Right now their aggressiveness has neither. Pressing to make something happen when you're 24 and get on base 3 out of every 10 trips to the plate is understandable, but a smart baserunner turned manager like Molitor should be keeping that in check.
  15. Might not want to get your hopes up, I had Chipotle for lunch.
  16. Dozier would die of dehydration inside a Portajon trying to pull the door open instead of going the other way.
  17. Whichever numbers you focus on, the Twins don't have enough trees right now for a decent bonfire, let alone a forest. Traditional counting stats vs. advanced metrics is just... sketch of the crime scene vs. photograph of it.

  19. Like the PSA campaign says about needles, sharing Twins post-game commentary is "asking for it". I'm guessing he'll probably have to provide a formal, written mission debrief statement to local sports media about the Hughes move before they go to press tonight.
  20. Yeah. If there are good relievers waiting to spring out of this bullpen in the postseason, that's not just a regular Trojan horse, that's, like, a Magnum Trojan horse. http://cdn.static-economist.com/sites/default/files/images/2013/12/blogs/democracy-america/20131207_usp501.jpg
  21. If you were thinking about doing something you didn't want them to see, then I think the safe thing is to assume that yes, they can.
  22. Oh, almost forgot. The above title is null and void if you were over 90 mph; that's an automatic disqualification for the Twins pen.
  23. Honorary member, 2016 Twins bullpen.
  24. Good to know, but there is the possibility, however remote, that he won't stick there all season.
  25. That is a huge relief! No pun intended! Haaaaahahahahahaha! How crazy do we look now for thinking this was going to be a problem? Just regular crazy, or... http://www.chaostrophic.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/gary-busey-crazy-face1.jpg ... Busey crazy?
