    The Twins are like that D One college football team that used to be decent a few years ago, but now everybody is lining up to get them on their non-conference schedule to pad their record.

    The good news is that just like a very bad batting average, after a couple of months in the tank the "winning" percentage is barely affected by each individual loss.

    It occurs to me that your post applies to virtually everything the Twins players, coaching staff, and front office have done (and not done) since Opening Day.

    Meh, blind squirrel, nut, etc. I could be either of them in that scenario. Hell, I'm still trying to figure out where the tuba reference came from at the beginning of the thread. Does it have something to do with the Rays player named Souza?

    In a game against another 100 loss juggernaut, maybe Molitor and Brunansky could pool their money and bribe the opposing manager to do that. Just one time, even. Three infielders and three outfielders to the left of second. Just the first baseman staying close enough to the bag to field a throw to first. Maybe that would finally make an impression on Dozier. Maybe.

    On pace for 110+ losses in May? Yeah, I was looking at Nolasco's pitch count after six and thinking that even after only throwing 80 or so pitches any other team would probably be thrilled with this outing from NoNo and just take the money and run with the bullpen. Twins look at the pitch count, see anything < 100, and out he goes, until he runs out of gas.

Besides, it's clear that Molitor won't be dissuaded from calling for the bunt or the hit and run (miss and run?) just because of a little thing like the Twins not being able to execute it. Because persistence!

    In less than a year I've gone from being unconditionally fired up about Molitor being the manager to just trying to look for things about the game he calls that don't puzzle me or just outright p!ss me off.

    Nolasco in danger of pitching his way below a 5.00 ERA. Maybe there is something to these cybermetric peripheral thingies after all.
