    What has gotten into Plouffe lately? I love it. I was skeptical of Gardy leaving him in the lineup every night. But clearly this kid has some serious major league power.

    Not much to write about in the Evan Bigley blog. Since my last post, he has been batting .333 with 3 home runs to raise that average to .243 overall. He has a team leading 60 strikeouts in 222 at bats.

    Anyone know what time the Mascot Softball Game starts on Sunday? All it says online is "Pregame". Does that mean its at 11:30? Noon? 12:30?

    I love span, the guy can hit, and draws a lot of walks. He is solid in center. You gotta think that some teams would be interested in that. Maybe a contender who needs a leadoff guy. Kind of like the Shannon Stewart trade for the twins in 03.

    Yeah, you gotta think this guy will get knocked around a few times just year. I just hope he keeps it going. We need a young reliable arm sooo bad, this would be really refreshing heading into next yeaar!

    I agree, pick up the W tomorrow with Diamond pitching and we have won 4 straight series.

    I can't stand that black wall out in center...they put some flowers or something there this year, but you can only see them if you random the upper deck. They need to improve that this coming off-season, put a giant logo there, or better yet, bring back the baggie and put it there!

    I agree, no way liaison keeps this up. If he does, we should trade him. I love that we are 3 games behind Detroit. Should be able to take 2 of 3 from Chicago even with all those cubs fans invading....

    I think the rangers would make a great trade partner....as much as I love span, now is the time to dump him and get something back<br>

    Another win! Good to see the offense pick up the slack tonight! Hopefully Frank can go at least 5 innings tomorrow, especially with Blackburn set to go on Wednesday...

    After starting the season batting .314. Bigley's average has dropped to .221 with only 4 home runs and 52 strikeouts in 190 at bats. He is batting only .135 in his last 10 games and has moved down to 7th in the batting order in New Britain. On the bright side, the Rock Cats are still in first place!

    LOL, I was kind of hoping you were. Just the thought of them drawing a line from center all the way over to right field is halarious.

    Exactly, just dont lose the game in the 2nd inning like Marquis. All we need is 5-6 innings and 4-5 runs out of him to give us a chance.
