  1. I feel like I should post a little update. He hasn't been playing that well. Basically batting sub-.200 with a couple homers the past few weeks or so. I honestly can't remember his last multi hit game. Let's hope he can turn it around soon.
  2. I think you put Lance Ray in the right place. I know his BA is scary low but that is in part because of his high strikeout total. I believe that as he gets more at bats, he will learn to be more selective at the plate and you will see his average go up as a result. And like you said, when he does hit the ball it usually goes far. Hopefully he will bulk up more this next off-season and become even a bigger power threat. I do disagree with you saying he is just an average defensive player. Since he has been playing baseball in the minors, he has a .984 fielding percentage. I don't know what the norm is for minor league outfielders, but I think that is pretty darn good. I know his range is sub par, but he makes up for it with his arm.
  3. Since he was named Player of the Week, he has been 1-19. Since I've adopted him as my prospect, he has either been hot or cold. He is too inconsistent. I don't know if it's a mental thing or what but it's not looking good at the moment.
  4. Yeah same here. Screw draft picks, I don't want to be the laughing stocks of baseball.
  5. Oh I know he is a great all around player I don't know why nobody ever talks about him. I think he has plenty of potential. He went 3-4 with 2 doubles tonight. He is just TEARING the ball off the cover right now.
  6. Lance Ray gets it done tonight with a grand salami. Since he broke hit hitting streak(last 7 games), he has been hitting .318 with 8 RBIs. The best news though is he has 6 walks compared to just 5 strikeouts. Keep it up Ray!!!
  7. Agreed. The Saints have joined the Yankees as my most hated teams.
  8. Here is my bold prediction of the day: With all of the bad karma the Saints have been receiving lately, another hurricane will devastate their city. The ownership will sell the team because of the huge loss they will get since the Superdome will be gonzo, and then the new ownership will move the team to LA. Also, what you think of the suspensions to the coaches and now players? I think they are not harsh enough, but I'm pretty biased so who knows. Disclaimer: I do not want a hurricane to hit New Orleans. This is just a prediction of whats to come.
  9. He got a hit today finally breaking his 5 game hitless streak. Better yet, he hasn't struck out in the last couple games. He didn't play in 2 games in the midst of his hitless streak so maybe he'll get some more playing time now.
  10. Yep, this is the most pathetic game I have watched so far. Why Twins why.
  11. Roy Smalley's optimism about Liriano is crazy. I'm not sure whether to laugh, cry, or throw up.
  12. Wow. Smalley just pointed out that we have now gave up 36 home runs. We have hit 14. Just...wow.
  13. It's a shame how college pitchers like Wimmers who has a lot of potential get drafted and get hurt like this. It seems like it happens all to often. Hopefully he can get back on the mound soon.
  14. I wouldn't mind it! I liked Hughes.
  15. Things haven't been looking good for Lance lately. He is 0-12 with 4 strikeouts in his lat 3 games. Hopefully he can turn it around if he has any hope of making AA this year.
  16. That's my boy Lance Ray! It looks like the Miracle pen is doing what they can to do to keep him on the field longer, unfortunately.
  17. Team: Fort Myers Miracle Position: RF, LF, 1B Bats: L Throws: R Age: 22 Height: 6' 1" Weight: 194 He was born in the sin city. The Twins drafted him in the 8th round of the 2010 First Year Player Draft out of the University of Kentucky. In 132 games last season(all with the Snappers), he hit .253 with 34 doubles and 16 HRs and 74 RBIs. Why he has potential: -He only hit 3 home runs in 2010(64 games) but jumped to 16 in 2011 and has been on pace to pass that mark this season -He has been hitting well with runners on base. -He is a solid defensive player. He has a .984 fielding percentage. In 121 games playing in his main position in right field, he has just committed 5 errors. -He was also an MiLB.com organization all-star last season. Concerns: -He averaged a strikeout a game last season and so far this season. His strikeouts double his walk total. -His career .260 batting average isn't anything to brag about either. All in all, I think this guy has some potential. If he can get better plate discipline, his number of strikeouts will go down and as a result his BA will go up. If his latest power surge continues, I believe he can be a real power threat. 18. I like that stat line. Liriano could easily beat that, seeing as his leash is pretty long in this organization.
  19. I'm starting to think that he will be gonzo by the trading deadline. However, his trade value is so low we would get jack squat, just like the Kevin Slowey trade.
  20. Do you think Dan Gladden should really get fired? Also I know where Underwood is, it's on my way to my lake cabin on East Battle Lake.

  21. Terry Ryan is no jumbalone. He won't trade Span unless we get a 19 year old Bert Blyleven in the deal.
  22. You should get a job at The Onion.
  23. Willingham is on pace to hit 97 home runs this season!!! I'll be happy with 40, however.
