  1. It looked like Sano thought that was a routine fly ball
  2. The last time a Twins starter pitched 6 full innings was 7 games ago
  3. 6 run lead against the Yankees? 0% chance of it being safe with Twins BP 6 run lead against the Sox? I'd say 60% chance of it being safe with Twins BP
  4. There's a chance we have 2 guys with 40 HRs this season
  5. why push bunt? put it down the 3rd baseline so theres less of a chance of the runner getting out at 2nd...
  6. Our best relievers as of late have been our rookies that started in AAA. That's how you know the front office failed the bullpen. What a pathetic group the Twins have in the FO. Morin, Parker, Mejia, Magil...all gone.
  7. Well unfortunately we have Giolito tomorrow
  8. One week until the front office blows it.
  9. I would be so curious to see what the score of this game would have been if Smeltzer started.
  10. Having a lot of talented players on the same team makes talented players even better because they are competing against their teammates in a sense. If we didn't have the Yankees I don't think Ruth, Gehrig, etc would have been as dominant.
  11. Sure their fanbase is utter garbage, but the players they have had over the years? So much talent. Talented players push others to go above and beyond, which makes the whole sport more fun to watch and more competitive. I'd say they've been good for baseball (but the fanbase has been horrible for baseball).
  12. Thank god this series is almost over.
  13. Yeah their August schedule is pretty rough
  14. Missing the playoffs is a very real scenario
  15. Hicks: 2016 - 123 games played ( 2017 - 88 games played 2018 - 137 games played 2019 - 52 games played 400 games: 60 homers, 194 RBI, 2017 and 2018 he had seasons with above .800 OPS Buxton: 2016 - 92 games played 2017 - 140 games played 2018 - 28 games played 2019 - 75 games played 335 games: 35 homers, 135 RBI, Never had a season with above .800 OPS. Best was .728 in 2017. Not only has Hicks been historically more reliable, but he's been arguably more productive. In my opinion Buxton needs to step it up and become more reliable and more consistently productive or else it seems like the Yankees win the CF battle.
  16. Fans might soon forget our center fielder's name because it seems like we never have him out there for more than 2 weeks straight. Buxton better find out a way to stay healthy or else it looks like the Yankees have the better CF. I'd take a reliable Hicks over an injury prone Buxton anyday.
  17. Another note: Twins have gone 0-4 with bases loaded this series and currently have the worst stats in the league with bases loaded. This isn't a fluke. There is something wrong with their approach. Whether it be nerves or just a lack of confidence. This needs to be addressed.
  18. Well they did address the BP, but in typical Twins fashion.
  19. I know players are all about forgetting the past game and focusing on the next one, but how in the world do you forget about this one.
  20. It still just baffles me that a guy making his major league debut gave the twins 2 scoreless innings today and the Twins most reliable pitcher gave up a 2 run homer when he had the batter before 0-2.
  21. 9 runs given up by the bullpen in the last 3 innings. 9!!!!
