  1. I just wanna see us Win....You can show me all the alalytics until your throat cracks but Championships are still won with Team Chemistry! If you dont believe me just ask Alex Cora or any member of the 2018 Boston Red Sox.
  2. And of Course Sano would play against lefty starters...thats the only time we would need him!!!.....also the lineup looks like 13 players only because i have Adrianza and Kepler as backups at more than one position. I know for a fact Kepler has experience at first base. Garver too for that matter.. Plug any decent left handed bat into that equation and it is FIERCE. Marwin Gonzalez is a switch hitter and he plays a little 3rd base too. He only played left field last year because some one of Houstons prospects bombed or got hurt or something. He's a utility Infielder just like the one we used to have.
  3. Ladies and Gentlemen i didnt say anything about a platoon or Moose being a backup. IMO Sano can earn his job back just like Buxton is gonna have to do. Moustakas had been an all star more than once AND....he has a RING. Sano can back up 3rd, 1st, and DH.
  4. 1b-Cron or Kepler 2b-Schoop or Adrianza Ss-Polanco/Adrianza 3b-Sano or Moustakas C-Castro & Garver Dh-Cruz Of-Rosario, Buxton, Kepler, and Cave... it's a 12 man position roster..Perfect!...I am sure Moose can play a little first base as well and he must be a good defender be at 3b because TheBrewCrew moved Shaw to second before they got Schoop last year.
  5. Man C.K...we don't need to trade Anybody to get Moustakas' left handed bat into the mix...we could get him for 1 year and ten Mil. I bet. And I think that would be a bargain! The Brewers arent bringing him back because they already have Shaw.
  6. I have to say I was hard on the FO at last years trading deadline....I was very disappointed, but I have always thought Cruz was a real force even before his playoff heroics for the Rangers. We coulda done way Way worse....This dude can still play RF I'd bet! The impact he will have on guys like Sano and Polanco will just make it sweeter. We just landed the Blue Chip of the 2018 FA Class.(I wonder if Marwin Gonzalez noticed it yet....)
  7. To get a guy like that this early...wow...lets just hope that we dont stop the struggle now. Our struggle is real. Im no way satisfied with our options at third base. We could use a decent closer and let May, Hildenberger, Rogers, Moya, and Reed be what they are as well. Decent set up guys and situational guys. I wonder why we dont hear much about Moustakas? His bat would fit nice between Cron, Cruz, Schoop and Sano's along with Polanco, Kepler, and Rosario. Kelvin Herrera knows this division and I believe he does have closing experience. Cave is a decent 4th outfielder and Garver is fine with Castro. There are plenty of quality arms out there that we can easily afford short term while the younger group progresses. Look what the A's did with Edwin Jackson, Trevor Cahill, and Mike Fiers last year. I dont see Keuchel as an ace but be what a great 3 or 4 guy. Just like we should have let Lance Lynn be. Don't stop now FO!!!
  8. It was the right move and it couldnt have come at a better time to make it. Austin nor Cron are no Nelson Cruz. Schoop for that matter either. Now those guys can be what they are...complimentary pieces to a decent offense.
  9. wow....our starting 3b.....maybe falvine can magically turn logan forsythe into a third baseman
  10. Maybe i should clarify my esteemed columnist sir....i have a hang nail and i cant type about the loser twins right now
  11. logic is no longer a factor in the personnel decisions of the Minnesota Twins. The only thing that matters is the image of Derek Falvey, and Thad Levine that they are the next coming if Theo Epstein, Sandy Alderson, and Branch Rickey rolled into two. With TC the bear running the FO we wouldnt be this much of a joke.
  12. What a sad, Sad state of affairs this has become. Are we actually pinning our hopes on this rag tag group. I would quit if I were Joe Mauer too! At least most of his career he knew going into spring training there was a fighting chance. Thanks once again for taking away our 2019,20, and 21 hopes away Falvine. I sure hope it advances your careers in all the ways you had hoped...... NOT
  13. its easy now to look and say Cleveland, my Indians are going to win 95 games. OF COURSE THEY ARE! THEY ARE PLAYING AA competition since the july 27 mark. The whole thing is ....what WOULD have happened? Cleveland has 0...thats Zero chance to win one playoff series. NONE. WE GAVE THEM THE DIVISION. At the very least we should care about the boost to the economy Minneapolis would get from one home playoff game. UNBELIEVABLE!
  14. I am so tired of this because when they get fired we wont be debating Falvines Fallacys and Failures anymore. i just heard Levine say the coaching staff performed better in 2018 than 2017. Ha! guess he hasnt seen any games.
  15. mark my words, letting Lance Lynn go for , ok i will say it NOTHING, will be known as one of the worst trades we ever made. He was tracking to be just what he always has been...a reliable #3 or maybe even #2 starter with a winner's heart. Spend some time and look up what former St.Louis Cardinal's players do when they leave that organization. I know, but you prolly will be amazed. it is not a joke. i spit real sir.
  16. did i actually see someone call Detroit a major league team? If that were true then you'd have to assume the Twins were that too Is anyone really that naive?
  17. well i will admit that the medical staff has been a topic of concern over the years. To give the new front office any credit for discovering a known issue at this disastrous juncture is absurd. I didn't see anyone being shut down for nagging toll of the season injuries last year. For anyone to actually see any positive from this is kind of ridiculous. These guys dont wanna play any more. This is what happens when you tank a season before it's time. The guys you have quit and you never will get an accurate read on the new guys because the whole clubhouse is FUBARed. Derek that means you will never get a good evaluation since somewhere between July 27, and now. Prolly it wont tell you anything in fangraphs about that. To gut a team means just that. Go home until spring training like you made us do. I for one hope you aren't joining us for 2019.
  18. ok i was kind of seeing your point until you said that Dozier, Escobar, Lynn, Pressly, and Rodney were same as having Austin, Forsythe, Drake, DeJong and Who else?...Wait a minute What????. Yes those five are way WAY better than (name any five) currently on the Twins 40 man. This season was TANKED because somebody somewhere did not believe in them or for some other ulterior motive. The 40 man roster is what it is BECAUSE of those moves and YES before the gutting of the team's heart and soul they had a puncher's chance to catch and pass Cleveland. We all know who made the decisions but that is not part of my point and I dont want anyone to say i am attacking whoever traded our teams leadership. Austin has done nothing in his career to show me he will ever be more than a big slow guy that is a defensive liability anywhere you put him and gets hurt and strikes out way too much. (we already have a guy like that). If he is so good then why did the Yankees dump him on us and trade for the Cardinal's Luke Voit the next day. If you want to debate with me more why was the Yankees first base job won by NEIL WALKER out of spring training when Bird was hurt and Austin was healthy? Thats the only one of our fearsome fivesome that i even need to elaborate on, unless you really Do think Forsythe is as good as Dozier and Drake is as good as Duke and DeJong could carry Lynn's gear. thanks for the take though...it is what it is. Instead of cheering for our team we are discussing this and that shouldnt be the way it is. They should have let em' settle it on the field.
  19. Im looking and i still dont see anyone say they were in favor of making a run but now saying they were bad anyway. I will say I did and I Do think they could have caught Cleveland. Of course Now the forty man roster is a joke. I know I am am talking about how much I wish we could have seen what would have happened with Escobar, Dozier, Sano back, Polanco back, Pressly and Duke, and Rodney still in the bullpen and Lynn still holding down a spot in the rotation. Somebody somewhere decided that 9 games out with 62 to go was insurmountable. I assure you sir Cleveland is NOT that good. And we had something like 10 games remaining with them. Let them decide it on the field. I dont follow the Twins because i love watching the outcomes of Falvey and Levine's decisions. IMO Id never see them in the news at all. Of course its a moot point now. They made their beds and time will tell..i am upset because i feel they screwed the fans this year. Nobody can say now what would or would not have happened because they made sure(unlike last year) to dismantle the 25 man so there was not a snowballs chance in....Arizona.
  20. Gosh I hope we can contend for something in 2019 besides a high draft pick. I just dont see it ....
  21. I know some people are complaining about the 40 man roster but it hasnt been me. It is what it should be after you trade 7 major leaguers for 15 maybes, no ways , and ill be dead before we ever knows. The five year plan is just where it belongs....gut the team, start over with all our own people(Cleveland and Texas cast-offs) and by maybe Maybe 2024 we can compete for another wild card. Dang it.....weren't we just in a wild card game? The disparity between the Bostons, New Yorks and even the Angels is never going to go away no matter what you do. Trying to compete with them is not even logical. Putting a team together of Twins operating under an inspired field manager can and will win a title. You have to get in the tournament to have shot. With this regime we can sell every singke year if we have to be the favorites for the title to finish the season. I dont see this reasoning at all. The disparity in revenue will Never go away so forget that.
  22. I agree that this has been a disappointing year for Odirizzi but the facts are what they are. If you look at his career stats, this year has been an exception not the rule. I for one am glad he's still here and I hope he is for 2019 as well. Everyone would be happy to have him as a #4 or #5 starter.
  23. L.M.M.F.A.O. i didnt mean he would be the hitting coach....although if you look at the career average of James Rowson , maybe it ISN'T such a long shot. Nowhere else have i ever heard of a manager not picking his own coaching staff...it is amazing and dumbfounding
  24. I love it too ...i want my unborn grandchildren to graduate from high school before this franchise ever becomes competitive again
