  1. Thanks Mom. In my haste I forgot a few words.
  2. As you know Chief, we all love you. You're the great great grandfather we never had or were able to meet. If Glunn doesn't let me set up a tent in his backyard this winter, I might be searching you out. Just giving you a heads up as I am at my wits end with MN winters. You are the best of best. Bark
  3. Tonight's a great example why Twins fans should be open to Santana in CF and Escobar at SS in 2015. "Nuff said".
  4. Nice play Doz. Good thing Mauer is 6'5".
  5. Also, do not forget Dietrich Anders Lobstein. Who invented and built the first microwave prototype in Luxembourg in 1958. Dietrich was born in Prague in 1931 to Franc and Imelda Lobstein. During WWII his father was a big part a the Czech resistance against the Nazis, unfortunately his father was captured and executed by the SS in 1943. After the war, in anticipation of Czechoslovakia coming under the Soviet Union sphere of control, Dietrich and his mother immigrated to Luxembourg. Dietrich Lobstein sold the patent and design of his invention in 1969 to Gary Microwave... the rest as they say is history.
  6. Something about the name "Lobstein" seems unnatural. I did some soul searching and journeyed into the dark abyss of my mind to discover what was bothering me about the name "Lobstein". This is what I found.
  7. First ballot for sure. He will get upper 90% vote totals and you never know, maybe the the baseball writers will be in a good mood that day and give him the elusive 100%. The man was the face of baseball the last 15+ years and no offense to Justin Morneau, Jeter should have won the MVP in 2006.
  8. Good for KC. The last time they made the post season I was 10 years old, now I am kickin' on 40. **** - I just bummed myself out.
  9. Save the Best for Last... Right?
  10. Not to disrespect the man. But I should have done a photo search for "shirtless Robin Williams" to execute my plan. Can't take it back now. RIP RW.
  11. Thank Goodness. I swore that wasn't a blackout day.
  12. If you like summer, that is summer. I wish it were like that everyday - although I should have used some sunscreen. No biggie, I was George Hamilton for a week. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ljd-FkX3aAM/TGv5rZJAhCI/AAAAAAAAAKE/Dhhu-iDAyYw/s1600/gs_george_hamilton_081125_g2.jpg
  13. I hope this is a repeat of the Friday ModCon game.
  14. 6-0 felt nice, I began to feel a sense of comfort. Then I woke up from my denial daydream and realized the quality of our pitching staff.
  15. Nice to see Dozier rolling up his sleeves today.
  16. Hey-O! Dozier wants the team HR lead.
  17. I don't have the imagination to envision what that would be like (going to the postseason) game thread wise. 3 losing seasons since this site began - it feels like twenty.
  18. No clue. Probably a flukey kind of thing.
  19. It appears the Twins only have faith in playing him against LHP.
