    At this point, I'd settle for no bunts when one guy is on base and two runs are needed. We can deal with pinch-hitting once we've mastered the bunting thing.

    That play is colloquially known as the Punto Special. I saw Punto do it many times. Pitchers knew when the guy was going to bunt and would throw the ball neck-high. Undaunted by this unexpected challenge, Punto would bunt anyway... And pop it to the pitcher.

    Well, we're still only in the seventh game of the season. If Sano turns it on, we forget he even struggled at all. It's just really painful in the here and now because just two hitters have looked competent this season.
