  1. Perez doesn't normally work this slowly, does he? It seems like he's just dragging out there.
  2. Oh, I like the idea he's getting so much rest. It's better for the second half of the season (and hopefully postseason). But it also makes it a lot easier for him to post gaudy numbers against catchers who have to go out there 66% of the time and get the snot beat out of them.
  3. I didn't actually drink four beers in a half inning. That'd be kind of amazing but also because I'm in my 40s, incredibly painful to deal with tomorrow morning. I'm drinking Summit Summer Ale. It's entirely adequate but a solid summer offering without going too light or sweet.
  4. I drank four beers that half inning. AND I REGRET NOTHING (yet)
  5. I think he needs to start regularly to see how he holds up, but... yes.
  6. Good. Run Sabathia out early. Game one of a three game set, get to that bullpen early and hard because it's really, really good.
  7. That's his takeaway during a game against the Yankees? Eat a ****, Ravech.
  8. IMO not only was the ball catchable, a decent RF (say, Kepler) does it on his feet and it's a 30' toss to second.
  9. My prediction is that both the Twins and Yankees break the season home run record by 8:30pm tomorrow.
  10. You realize probably half the people in this thread aren't watching the game, right? Loads of people follow on GameDay or radio and ask questions like that in-game all the time. Don't look for things to be insulted about. You asked a question, people answered you earnestly because they have no idea if you're able to watch the game or not.
  11. Dude, you literally asked "How does that happen?"
  12. I wonder what the average exit velocity is for the Twins this game. It has to be very high.
  13. I'm right there with you. After watching the Twins put men on 1-2, 2-3, or 1-2-3 with no outs and get nothing from those innings, RBI groundouts almost feel like a homer.
  14. This is the first time in a long time I've seen this team try to really put the screws to a starter who isn't on his game. Way too many short, "let's get you off the hook" innings lately.
  15. Arraez can't get too far from second because the ball was so close in center. Because it was in danger of being caught, he had to hold up a bit.
  16. Bases loaded, no outs, one of the most professional hitters on the team at the plate. This almost guarantees no runs scored.
  17. That's actually normal, even for broadcast a lot of the time.
  18. Probably insulting each others' sisters. A normal Monday, in other words.
  19. It's out of character for this team lately but getting a guy or two on base before starting the home run derby moonshot parade would get the job done.
  20. Well, that result wasn't nearly as inevitable as it felt one minute ago.
