  1. Somewhere in Nebraska, a kid has been mashing the "X" button on his Playstation for three straight days, a new personal record. Little does he know, he's CONTROLLING REAL LIFE.
  2. Dick and Roy talking about how issuing walks has been a real problem this series. Meanwhile, on the stat board: 184 XBH this series
  3. Or, in this case, "You make 100% of the shots you don't take."
  4. Hey, everybody, a reminder. SOMEHOW, IT'S STILL THE FOURTH INNING
  5. Sure, they started the season with a deficit but they're literally the only team that has played so few games against teams over .500 and one of the only decent teams with a record that bad.
  6. Playing solitaire with a deck of 51, so to speak.
  7. Sure, anything can happen but Cleveland is 15-21 against teams over .500 this season. That's, uh... *quick math* Not awesome.
  8. He pitched on Saturday, I think, so he's going on somewhat short rest. Also, he's Devon Smeltzer. You don't want to just toss every egg you have in that basket unless absolutely necessary.
  9. You're not going to get more than ~50 pitches out of him, maybe 60, tops. That should get them through the seventh, at best.
  10. It does. After the Royals: Astros Angels Rangers @Minnesota Boston @Yankees That takes them through the middle of August. Good luck with that, kids. Three weeks without a facing a single team under .500 as of today.
  11. At this point, I'm literally impressed that Cave didn't turn around and throw that ball into the seats.
  12. Sure, anything is possible, but after tonight the Twins have literally the weakest schedule in baseball through the end of the season.
  13. I think Baldelli is just crossing his fingers in hopes he can get Smeltzer up in the fifth. Getting a guy up and down a lot isn't awesome.
  14. You know, I never really had a like or dislike for Jake Cave. Until about an hour ago.
  15. Literally the first post of yours I've ever liked.
  16. Yuck. I wouldn't challenge that.
  17. I disagree. The Twins were on more of a skid after that Oakland game. They had lost five of six and were facing a very good and very hot Oakland team. They could have easily laid down and died, yet they rebounded and won the next game. Your defeatism is not reality.
  18. Except the Twins lost a heartbreaker to Oakland just a few days ago, then turned around and won the next game.
  19. That was a lazy ****ing inning from the middle of the lineup.
  20. Nah, those pitches Odorizzi threw that were drilled earlier were dead red over the plate. Crap pitches, frankly. That last homer was a legit good hit on a pitch that was hard to turn on (inside pitch quite high in the zone).
  21. Eh, at least that pitch wasn't terrible. Kudos to the hitter.
  22. So Gregorius can get out. Interesting strategy. Baldelli should keep that in his back pocket for the postseason.
