Think about Morneau... He's still here... OK Justin... You have two months before your contract expires... Let's start hitting some bombs. 2. Think about Butera... He's Gone... PTNBL or Cash coming our way!!! 3. Think about Willingham and Arcia... If Plouffe and Morneau are not hitting bombs... Who is supposed to hit bombs? Willingham and Arcia are the top two thoughts that jump into my head... Willingham is hurt and Arcia is in AAA. The Hammer will be back eventually... Could we see Arcia back sometime soon? 4. Think about Colabello... He could hit some bombs but he is probably trying to do too much right now. He's not in the lineup today... He had a pinch hit strikeout when we needed a run driven in from third yesterday. When you are a 55 year old power hitting rookie... It has to be tough... You are not a project... You have to produce right now. How can you not show up in Minnesota and not try to do too much. There is no time to watch him develop into something. 5. Think about Apartments... They are kinda stuck together in one building... They are not "Apart" at all... At least... I'm pretty sure I could hear my neighbor on the other side of the wall when I used to live in one.
Chance Provisional Member Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 .... are you suggesting that we rename them "togetherments?"
blindeke Verified Member Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 why game not on the TV? me like baseball
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 It's on mlb.tv but why anyone would pay just to watch this game is beyond me. If you already have a subscription that's one thing but twinsbaseball.com calls it a mlb.tv exclusive. Oh, and if anyone is wondering, it isn't on the KC network either.
wavedog Verified Member Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 As I looked at the lineup my first thought was when was the last time the 7-9 hitters in a line-up were your outfielders.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Hermann airmails the cutoff man, everyone tags, double play out of order. 1 out, runners on 2nd and 3rd Come on Hermann
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Well Maxwell's RBI single puts the DP back in order. At the small cost of a run. Phew
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Bases loaded, 1 out, Hicks up.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Welp, two warning track fly balls with bases loaded but no scores.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Welp, two warning track fly balls with bases loaded but no scores. Yuck. That has to be an interesting but depressing series of events. What Happened?
snepp Verified Member Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 A ball that ends up going over the fence and you've never even suspect that it had a chance listening to Meathead on the radio.
snepp Verified Member Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 "A ball is in the air....the fielder moves....it goes over the fence." /monotone
PseudoSABR Verified Member Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Justin Morneau: building trade value in August.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 "A ball is in the air....the fielder moves....it goes over the fence." /monotone Stephen Wright-esque?
TwinVike61 Provisional Member Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Conspiracy Theory: Morneau purposefully didn't swing for the fences so he wouldn't be traded. Now he'll start belting homers every 10 at bats.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Yuck. That has to be an interesting but depressing series of events. What Happened? Hicksie inside-outed a ball into the left field corner, at the track, but Gordon caught it and got it back in quickly. Also Morneau was the guy on 3rd base so he wasn't tagging unless it got over the fence. Cletus hit one to the 403 sign but it was caught.

James Verified Member Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Stupid work meeting getting the way of me listening to the game. I hate when that happens.
James Verified Member Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 I have a immense dislike for Lorenzo Cain at this moment. How dare he steal that homerun from Plouffe. That is just rude.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 I really think Plouffe has been getting some shoddy luck with the batted balls lately. He hit a few on the button in recent days that were caught, and now Cain robs him of a HR.
PseudoSABR Verified Member Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 wtf was that? delayed stolen base? sloppy fielding

TwinVike61 Provisional Member Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Danny is ragging on some of the Twins for shoddy defense like Herman missing the cutoff man three times today.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Just joining game now. Yikes! RB, you obviously did not have us thinking of the right things!
ScottyB Verified Member Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Can we please put get rid of Duensing, ship Diamond to the pen and bring up Albers now?
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Wow. Bottom of the 7th and still on page 2? Either people are actually working or the apathy factor has really kicked in -- which is completely understandable given the last 3 1/2 games. Or is it the last 3 1/2 months?
