The current AAA catchers available Olivar - 60 day IL Cardenas - 164/.318/.651 Banuelos - .207/.267/.268 Cardenas has some decent defensive chops but the bat is worse than Vazquez last year. with 1 on development list - 3+1 equals 4 , granted they are all stiffs

I cannot figure out why Jackson has not been given a chance to pitch hit. His stats have been good as I mentioned earlier. And he ran for someone and scored the other night on a close play. He's not an embarrassment out there. Church of Kreidler and S Bart 2

Only 5 teams in late May were carrying 3 catchers and I don't think that number has gone up. With a 4 man bench you just can't afford to carry 3 catchers. Hawkeye Bean Counter and mrmpls 1 1

We don't have a bunch of veteran options down in AAA we can call up for spot duty. Anyone we call up will need significant at bats and opportunity to continue their development. Hence why Roden, Martin are the most likely individuals to be option and who have options available. I would rather have Wallner than some of the other guys we have run out there. He can at least run into one, I have said this multiple times. He doesn't have to be given regular playing time but be an option off the bench. I would almost be willing to call up Ben Ross to be a pinch runner and defensive replacement could be another option. Point is there are option, you and others are so concerned 2027, I want the team to back up its talk that they are a contender and carrying Jackson is not backing that up.
