With the 79th pick in the 2026 MLB Draft, the Minnesota Twins selected right-handed pitcher Ethan Wachsmann out of Colorado. A big pitcher with a big arm, Wachsmann throws hard with developing command, and the club believes he can turn into something special. He's committed to Wake Forest and is the kind of arm who might grow into a first-rounder if he were to play college ball, making his signability the story to watch. Scouting director Sean Johnson said Wachsmann "really checks a lot of the boxes for a high school pitcher."
