Sonny Gray had a terrific season for the Minnesota Twins in 2023, leading the team in Wins Above Replacement and all of MLB in Fielding Independent Pitching. As he enters free agency, the Twins are in trouble filling his spot, right? Well... it's complicated. The Twins went just 15-19 in Gray's 2023 starts (including the playoffs)... so how many wins are they really losing if they replace his production with a run of the mill third or fourth starter?
