Twins would have to lose their final 2 road games with walk-offs to tie all-time mark for most walk-off losses in a season.

Walked off yet again... but I guess the intentional walk didn't matter in the end. Bleck. I almost want them to tie with the walk-off record in tomorrow's game.

It was meant to be as much a criticism of the hole the Twins have dug for themselves at SS as a compliment to Polanco. He'd be a better overall utility infielder than other guys they've lived with over the years, and less of a Roland Emmerich disaster movie as a stopgap everyday player than sometimes projected.

 

And I probably wouldn't even have commented on the play, let alone the player, if the Twins FO's plan at that position were anything more than waiting for Royce Lewis to rise out of the organizational pumpkin patch and deliver shortstop sweetness to all the good kids who believe.
