LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 I remain convinced Kennys Vargas could have given this team the same, or better, production than Morrison. It's starting to look like last year really was the outlier rather than the new norm. Too bad.I don't know. Vargas isn't hitting much better now, and he's in the minors. And Vargas is DH only, he cannot play a position in the majors
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 So much for giving Jake some breathing room
jun Verified Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 I don't understand why Morrison is in the lineup regularly with that kind of production. Morrison really makes Grossman look good offensively. Motter certainly makes Adrianza look good.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 I would say this is a very ticklish situation

jokin Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 for some unexplained reason, this season, Kepler hits lefties better than righties, a lot better The explanation is that he really worked on hitting lefties in the offseason- anything to avoid the "platoon player" label that was beginning to be attached to his name.
mrmpls Verified Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 Like watching paint dry with jake pitching
drock2190 Verified Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 Jake getting wrecked by a weak Texas offense. Reminding me why I hardly ever tune into his starts until he is out of the game.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 All those years we begged the FO to make moves in the offseason. Perhaps I’ll shut my mouth in the future.
Foghorn Leghorn Verified Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 Jake Odorizzi as the number 1 in the rotation. Paul Molitor actually thought that would work. Should be fired just for that...

Reminding me why I hardly ever tune into his starts until he is out of the game.I tuned in with the bases loaded and no outs. Typical of Odo, guy is a sure fire loss whenever he’s on the mound.
drock2190 Verified Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 were gonna need 8-10 runs today That's 3 or 4 games worth of runs!
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 Can we put in another pitcher yet??
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 This would be a good chance to get Trevor May a few innings. Oh wait, ...

operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 How bad is Kepler that he is batting behind Motter? Thanks for the laugh!
Foghorn Leghorn Verified Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 Honestly, I’d be all for Magill and Odo switching places.
mrmpls Verified Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 Odorizzi, is reminding me of Phil Hughes, Not a good thought
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 Bleh, maybe I shouldn’t have went to this game. Odorizzi’s been mostly good this year but the past few starts have been bad. DL stunt maybe? Good thing we DFA’d Belisle and got a fresh arm up from AAA... oh wait, we didn’t?
jud6312 Verified Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 What has he done in the minors to warrant a call up?We might be getting to the point of what guys like Odorizzi, Belisle, and Pressly aren't doing more so than what Trevor is or isn't doing.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 This is one of those years where we play the “what can we NOT afford to do here” game, and then we do it anyway.
