Game Thread: Twins @ Indians, 5/9, 3:10 p.m. CT

[drock2190]

I wish the Twins had an elite setup man, not this mess.

[Twinsoholic]

0 and 2 count and then he walks the guy who is hitting .233.

[stringer bell]

It was a good at-bat by Moss, but still Duensing has to get that guy.  Now, will they tie or go ahead?  (reverse jinx).

[Bark's Lounge]

I'm all out of finger nails to chew on.

[Twinsoholic]

If Chisenhall gets on the Indians have batted around. That would suck.

[mnsportsgeek]

Aaron Thompson you beautiful soul.

[70charger]

Dangerous little catch by Schafer there...

[JB_Iowa]

Thank Heavens, Schafer and Thompson!

[curt1965]

Nice job, Thompson!!!!

[ashbury]

Schafer juuuust in the nick of time!

Gross.

[Twinsoholic]

Yea! Thompson!

[Pius Jefferson]

I wish the Twins had an elite setup man, not this mess.

I wish the Twins starter didn't put the bullpen in this mess in the first place.

[JB_Iowa]

CBU:  7-4 Twins after 7

[JB_Iowa]

Apparently Phil Hughes misses Rick Anderson.

[curt1965]

Don't know that Thielbar is the answer either, but who is the next LOOGY in the Twins system?

[ashbury]

Gross.

Don't ever shake hands with Brian Dozier, then.

[diehardtwinsfan]

Apparently Phil Hughes misses Rick Anderson.

Well, there's a phone. Perhaps Phil should take some new found money and retain Anderson for some consulting services.

[70charger]

Aaron Thompson has looked pretty good so far this year.

Does he chew his nails?

[sampleSizeOfOne]

It's not that bad. TD member Circus Boy observed that the Game Threads didn't give a latecomer any idea what was happening on the field, what with all the merry banter and folderol being posted instead. So in his honor we try to add at least a few posts every game to commemorate the game itself.

Folderol...

Now there's a word i don't hear so often. I associate it with madrigals.

Nicely put, good ashburyjohn.

Speaking of which, Twins pitching seems to have mastered the cardinal rule of show biz: always leave 'em wanting more.

I like.

[stringer bell]

Not much LH relief pitching on the horizon.  One sneaky prospect would be Mason Melotakis, but he had Tommy John surgery and will be out all of 2015.

I thought this was a family friendly site.

Ryan O'rouke is in AAA. Righties hit him pretty well, but he shuts down the lefties.

Then don't mention otherwise. Or if you object to a comment, PM Brock.

Cameron Booser's stock is shooting up rapidly, but he's only in low-A... sometime next year is a possibility.

[NoCryingInBaseball]

Double-play would be nice...

[diehardtwinsfan]

Alex Meyer doesn't finish the 3rd today... gave up 8 runs

[ashbury]

Does he chew his nails?

That was the gist of my observation, yes.
