The Australian Baseball League announced its All Star game participants today. 

 

Current Twins farmhand Sam Gibbons made the team. Former Twins (and/or Twins farmhands) Luke Hughes, Justin Huber, Markus Solbach and Trent Oeltjen are also going to play in the game.

Gibbons has only made 2 starts, but been impressive in both.  Hoping to catch him when Melbourne comes to Sydney between 8-11 Jan.

And this from a guy who wouldn't get a single vote in most people's Top 25 Twins PITCHING prospects.

Gibbons took a big step forward in 2014, in my opinion. He threw again last night in Australia. Gave up one earned run in 5.2 innings. Walked none, struck out 6. He's improving. Certainly worth watching in 2015!
