TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Walters sure seems to have calmed down after being a little wild on the first. Hopefully his pitch count will stay low enough for him to give us 7 solid innings today.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Nothing has gotten into Plouffe, he is neither the guy who hit .114 (or whatever), nor the guy that will hit a HR in every game like the last two days. This is why you don't play a guy for 10 games and make a decision that is contrary to years of data from the minors and majors....(positive or negative).Nice post.
SirLoin Verified Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 God I hate it when Revere can't get on base....Oh wait....
SirLoin Verified Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Mauer does not appear to be running well. That double play grounder he hit was not hit hard and I thought it would have been a much closer play at first.Maybe it's bi-lateral shoelace weakness....
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Hard to tell from the TV shot, but I wonder if the LFer was playing shallower for Mauer than for Revere.
SirLoin Verified Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Great AB by Hammer.... Fister can't go too much longer already being at 87 pitches.
SirLoin Verified Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Drew must have told him it was going to be a fastball....
Shane Wahl Verified Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Butera is hitting this year. What the hell?
SirLoin Verified Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Butera is hitting this year. What the hell?Could it be Bruno?
ScottyB Verified Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Butera is hitting this year. What the hell?Who the hell is this guy - our catcher with the highest batting average - .316????
Gernzy Verified Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Butera is hitting this year. What the hell? He's silenceing the haters...I love it.
SirLoin Verified Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Walters should probably stop throwing that 4-seam fastball. Both HR's have come on that pitch.
TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Not only is he hitting, but he is hitting the ball solidly. I could handle more of this.
Jim Crikket Provisional Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Hmmm... Maybe Walters should only pitch at Target Field.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Could it be Bruno?Could it be the magic of a small sample size? He's contributed offensively so far. Good for him. Good for the Twins. It's extremely unlikely to continue.
SirLoin Verified Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Perhaps it's time for Walters to call it a day...Let's take the "quality start" and run!
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Under normal circumstances I'd be looking for the bullpen in the 7th. But with the bullpen in the shape it's in, I think you gotta hope for another inning from Walters.
TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Keep the ball in the ball park please. Only 3 hits given up but all 3 have been HRs.

Dilligaf69 Verified Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Really...you groove one to Prince on a 3-1 count???? rather put him on and take my chances with DY who promptly grounds into whay may have been a inning ending DP....Plus still way too many LOB for the Twins.....UGGGG!

Have someone warming up but he definitely goes back out.

striker_86 Provisional Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 yeah, its too bad everyone but Capps pitched yesterday. Cant trust Frankie in this situation. Burton threw 14 pitches last night and Perkins threw 10. Maybe one of those guys?
Jim Crikket Provisional Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 I suppose it's encouraging that he gave up a hit and managed to keep it in the ballpark?
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 oh boy - Frankie's coming in
Shane Wahl Verified Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Liriano out to test my theory about him . . .
