  1. Rosario is seriously the most brain dead player in mlb. Isn’t taking a pitch after the last guy walked almost automatic?
  2. That’s a Phil Collins song, right?
  3. The former is a walking tour, the latter is by air...
  4. So, I’ll ask again, what does Duke bring to the table that Ryan O’Rourke did not? So far, not impressed.
  5. So, what aren’t we supposed to ask the new Pirate pitcher about?
  6. More of that vs lhp by Kepler please.
  7. That’s 6. Is anyone even warming up?
  8. Ok. 5 walks. I’d say that’s enough for today. Over 70 pitches.
  9. Did you Know: Colin Moran’s uncle (well, one of them) is former big leaguer BJ Surhoff...
  10. Kinda looking like maybe Lynn should have been held back longer. I know I asked after the signing if Lynn had a minor league option. The general consensus was that he did. There really would have been no reason for him to decline a two week (or maybe even less) assignment. Sure, the cold probably isn’t helping. But it doesn’t seem to be bothering his mound opponent.
  11. I’m lucky. My anniversary is strategically placed about two weeks after my birthday. My wife’s birthday is 10 days after that. So, when my birthday comes, I know it’s time to make arfangements for the other two.
  12. Don’t feel bad. I’m not sure half the pols in Washington realized that before Maria.
  13. That has to be a question when an offense does that poorly in a series. As has been mentioned: we’ll find out soon enough. Maybe not this week. Neither Pittsburgh or Seattle figure to be offensive juggernauts. The Astros are in town next week...
  14. Worst K rate on the starting staff. Disappointing.
  15. Too bad they’ll be at home for two straight weeks in 5 days too. Highs in the 30s for the home opening weekend. Rain and or snow the following week. Welcome home!
  16. If the Twins don’t intend to use Rodney ever for a second inning, he shouldn’t have been brought in for the 10th. Once you bring your closer into a tie game on the road, the general rule is to stick with him as long as possible. That’s why a closer rarely comes into a tie game on the road. I think Molitor was caught off guard by Hildenberger’s ineffectiveness. Otherwise, Pressly would have been warming. Rodney had already warmed up so he was able to come in right away. So, let’s place some blame on Hildenberger for pitching poorly too to force Molitor into that move. Of course, pitching wasn’t why the Twins lost yesterday. Terrible hitting was.
  17. I don’t think I said or implied any of that. I simply corrected a factual error.
  18. The trend in MLB has been to have your “best” relievers used in the high leverage situations that occur before the 9th inning. If Reed doesn’t do what he did, chances are pretty good there is no 11th inning.
  19. Bundy has a career 105 ERA+. I don’t know to describe that other than pedestrian.
