  1. "Does" has been a problem I've had my entire life, thank you for being this patient, I have no idea why I struggle with that word so much specifically, but I do.
  2. I think their just looking for a RH hitting 2nd basemen, not specifically one with power. In fact I think they would prefer one with a high OBP over one with power at this point.
  3. But he dose serve as a good warning for what the twins could be in for if they decide to hold on to Dozier. If you look at their last 3 or 4 years(which neutralize an out lire season), they have extremely similar production.
  4. Your trading to get him for the playoffs, not really for the regular season.
  5. And yet S.F. leader in home runs last year hit.....14. This year their projected leader is presumed to be Parker with.....16. Dude I grew up in the bay, I've seen a ton of games in Oakland and S.F. the wind has a tendency to blow in from the water hard at a moments notice.
  6. IDK last year Todd Frazier with 2 years left on his contract only got the Reds one top 50-100 prospect back, and a major league ready OF with platoon problems and a weak arm that keeps him in LF. And that top 50 prospect was a SS. And now the whitesox can't trade him. Frazier is actually a crazy good comp for Dozier offensively and defensively, though he plays 3b instead of 2b. You could say Dozier being under guaranteed contract instead of in arbitration add's some extra value, and I'd agree but really how much? His obp jumped 30 points despite no difference in his K or BB rates, while his slugging has been rising for four years, it saw a sudden spike over 100 points higher than his CAREER best at the time, no one is suggesting he's a bad player, but lets not pretend he's suddenly turned into something he isn't. If he continues to his like he did last year he could hit 50? He couldn't even continue to hit like he did last year, or he would have hit 50. That's why his numbers dropped down to a respectable but not Ruthian, 263/.323/.561 basically Dozier had two insane months where he slugged over .700 June and August. He couldn't even sustain that pace in two consecutive months because his July looked more normal too, .242/.319/.505 I don't think anyone is optimistic enough to believe 50 is seriously on the table, not even the twins.
  7. He has to play as many games in S.F. and S.D. as he dose in Zona and Col. JDL pitched in AAA and the majors last year, he could help the dodgers win games out of spring training if they named him to the rotation.
  8. The new rules prevent them from doing what they did before though, in fact being a big market team means they have less to spend on amateurs than small market teams. So if he produces another career year, that seems unlikely. And how much better dose he really make them, even if he dose produce another career year, they were already a 90 win team with a record setting number of injuries. They'll probably win their division again regardless of Dozier.
  9. He also could be worth 6 war over the next two seasons, (which is still good, but not elite) or anything in between.
  10. I totally feel this. In a Q&A Mayo mentioned that he had him at 51 on his current list, with the caveat that he could be much higher by mid season.
  11. Yeah, I thought that was weird, Geez the twins are starting to look desperate if this is a real strategy of theirs.
  12. The dodgers don't have a major league ready SS, and if they did, they would just have him play 2nd, then we wouldn't be talking about a trade at all. Unless you mean Seager?
  13. Yeah, but those are just the averages of his projections, the same site projects Bellinger for 10.4 war over 6 years and Hunter Renfroe for 2.4. I would take those projections with a bowl of salt.
  14. MLB.com hasn't updated yet, Stewart could end up ranked ahead of Sheffield soon, and I think he has way less red flags than Sheffield, who pitched a few innings at the lowest levels, (which is Alverez biggest red flag) is a TJ survivor (which is JDL's red flag except JDL hasn't had surgery) and only has two pitches (which is Stewart's redflag, but stewart's slider looks at least average) Also, I've often felt that Mayo tends to over rank recent draftees and signings. I.E. Bubba Starling was rated as one of the 20 best prospects in baseball right after being drafted.
  15. And the whitesox can't find a trade partner for Todd Frazier.
  16. Or why the whitesox haven't found a trade partner for Todd Frazier?
  17. I'm really starting to think it wont, and that the twins are taking a pretty big gamble if they hold onto him.
  18. I found this interesting article about potential Todd Frazier trade. http://southsideshowdown.com/2017/01/04/white-sox-potential-trade-todd-frazier/ This is by a white sox blog, and their suggesting the return for a year of Todd Frazier who's a solid defensive 3b who just hit 40 home runs, would be Ty Blach, Austin Slater and Dylan Davis guys that are ranked 17, 22, and 23 by MLB.com in a weak giants system. Frazier has a career 112 OPS+ 111 wRC+ he has stolen 48 bases the last 3 years and has one year of arbitration left. Dozier has a career 108 OPS+ 107 wRC+ he has stolen 51 bases the last 3 years and is signed for 2 years at 6 mill then 9 mill. They're both good infielders that currently play positions where most teams already have an internal option so neither team has a ton of trade options to look to.
  19. Rosenthal is an absolute pro btw. Well, they want to trade Kaz and McCarthy but part of that hold up is figuring out what kind of depth they have going into the season, if they trade JDL, Stewart, DeJong etc, then that obviously plays a factor in who they can move. Plus they can always just cut a guy like Ruff.
  20. I think it says more about the value of years of control, that a player such as Dozier and Todd Frazier aren't fielding the same interest as a player like Sale or Quintana, or Eaton.
  21. That makes sense, the dodgers can't wait on this trade forever either, the two teams can always come back and talk more in July.
  22. Are there really rumors about the angels being "in" on Dozier? I could believe the angels calling and seriously being interested in a reliever or something, but Dozier?
  23. Yeah, except those two have shown in the past to be more consistent power hitters than Dozier. Though dozier is the best all around player. That being said, when the two players that hit more home runs are still on the market, it says something about the value of the long ball in our game right now.
  24. Though they were willing to give one up to sign Iwakuma, the deal fell through after his medical though.
  25. They didn't resign him, he took the QO, I think if he hadn't he'd probably be a dodger right now. Though the Mets are really deep in the infield with gavin cecchini and ahem rosario in AAA.
