  1. Lenny Faedo being the other guy on Kent Hrbek's rookie card, along with Hrbek and Laudner.
  2. The Twins acquired Bartlett when he was in single-A. Same for Gagne. So they had a hand in developing those two, but otherwise...
  3. People are definitely catching on that the minor league line is the way to do it. I remember getting Baker, Slowey, Neshek, Plouffe, etc. in that line, and it would have at most 15-20 people waiting. You could take as much time as you wanted and chat with the players. Last year when guys like Hicks and Gibson were signing, the wait was over an hour. I think it's only a matter of time before the Twins start charging for that line.
  4. This is correct. Tickets are limited, so when they announce the venues be sure to pick up a ticket right away. Since tickets are limited, you don't need to get there hours in advance. In my experience, they sign for everyone who has a ticket. They will sign most items, but some do have limitations. I know for Twins Fest, sometimes Carew won't sign premium items like bats or jerseys because he has a contract with a memorabilia company. I remember going to a caravan stop one time and Danny Valencia wouldn't sign a baseball card because of his contract. Never liked him after that...
  5. They usually do a question and answer session and then autographs.
  6. Wow, the Willmar lineup is stacked. Carew, Oliva, Hicks, Gibson. Quite an improvement over last year's group of Parmelee, Plouffe, and Swarzak.
  7. Another vote for Knoblauch here. He was a great player for us, and regardless of what happened afterwards he didn't/doesn't deserve the kind of treatment he gets from some Minnesota fans. I was at the game when they honored the All-Metrodome team, and even though Knoblauch didn't show up, he was loudly booed just when they announced his name.
  8. Was that the play Torii botched? I was there also and you're right, the life went out of the place after that. Yep, that was the Torii play. I remember Cuddyer and Morneau had just hit back-to-back homers to tie it and the place was electric...and then the very next inning, that happened.
  9. My two votes have already been mentioned. ALDS Game 2 in 2004 and the ALDS game in 2006 against the A's with Kotsay's inside the park homer. I was at the A's game and you could just feel the Dome deflate. I knew it was over then.
