  1. Luckily, for the last 400 pitches, he will be with Rochester.
  2. Key words = "in Spring Training". I'm OK wit' dat!
  3. How much longer are we going to wait for Arcia, Vargas and Park to start hitting? Patience is highly overrated
  4. I think ex-Twins-players are eligible for enshrinement as a 'veteran clubhouse presence" within one to seven hours after first onset of rigor mortis.
  5. .....and Mike Trout strikes out.....
  6. Where do we sign up to join the posse?
  7. which was countered by Suzuki being run out of the ballpark while unable to control opponents' running games......That is (one reason) why Aaron Hicks was traded for JR Murphy and Hermann/Fryer was replaced by John Hicks/Centeno at catcher.
  8. Better to give a rookie fewer things to worry about. Which is fewer things than THAT AND playing 3B.
  9. I think their actions clearly show that they want Sano to concentrate full-time on playing his NEW POSITION (RF). I think this issue exists entirely inside the heads of posters who have never coached at any level.
  10. And how does that differ from Twins?
  11. RIP LNP.
  12. "Terry Ryan recently spoke about a number of in-house options that intrigue him as lefty options in the bullpen, calling out Taylor Rogers and J.T. Chargois by name" I hope everything works out when the Twins try to convert J.T. Chargois to a lefty. He has been pretty good as an RHP his entire career.
  13. Absolutely! The floor would be bagging groceries at the Supermarket.
  14. He wouldn't, and in view of last season, that would be a GOOD thing.
  15. But only one of them in this comparison has been fired.
  16. Delmon should have been arrested many times for Impersonating an outfielder.
  17. "Stupid Cuban" and "you Latin piece of sh-t" qualify as racial slurs IMO.
  18. If that was the regular lineup, they would get to play a lot of defense. If none of them can hit, every three offensive PA's they would be forced to go back out on the field to play defense for another inning.
  19. Ullger is NOT talking about playing in games. He is talking about SIMULATING GAME CONDITIONS" in practice, by taking fly-balls in batting practice "off the [hitter's] bat", rather than off a coach's fungo.
  20. That may be true for "refining" skills, but if you are LEARNING A NEW POSITION, and you bypass fundamentals (first-step; blocking; dive-or-block decision; drop-step ball-side-foot; pursuit angles; footwork; wall-balls) to play games waiting for one or two random fly balls per game, your learning will get flat-lined. That is EXACTLY the same in learning ANY SPORT. What coach recommends bypassing practice when learning a new sport, position or skill? Find me THAT recommendation!
  21. I thought I read that, although I can't locate the source at this time.
  22. In order to concentrate on outfield position drills which are much valuable than game experience.
  23. After Arcia, Parmelee, Willingham, Delmon, Escobar, Nunez, Colabello, Cuddyer, etc., the Twins defensive standards bar for corner outfielders has been set SO HIGH, that Sano can never live up to that tradition of excrement....uh...excellence
  24. Yes, that was cynical sarcasm.
