  1. Miguel legs out an infield single. Will have to remember that one, too.
  2. Well, I think Odo can get through 5. Amazing he's only allowed one runner through 4 and is nearly at 70 pitches. I just don't know how he consistently gets his pitch count so high.
  3. Rosie strikes out looking. Will have to remember that one.
  4. Apparently not the matchup KC was hoping for.
  5. Wouldn't it be better strategy to do a bullpen game in the second game of the double header?
  6. Bomba Squad = Space Force!!
  7. Let's go Tyler. Channel your 2010 self and be a vulture out there.
  8. Eddie . . . you have to keep your eye on the ball.
  9. Didn't teams used to take the shift off, or reduce it when there were 2 strikes on a batter? I haven't seen that from us this year. It would seem that the hitter is more likely to protect the plate and go the other way, and the pitcher benefits from being able to try to make the hitter chase outside.
  10. I think everyone understands the shift. At least everyone posting here on Game Threads. To say someone's argument is dumb, but the person isn't dumb is kind of like saying the poster isn't condescending, but this post is really condescending.
  11. Why shift Arraez? Just think of how many years Carew and Gwynn would have hit .400 if they'd shifted for them to pull.
  12. If he keeps throwing to first, maybe Soler will just go away.
  13. Seems that way . . . unless they pitch him three feet outside, in which case he singles to left.
  14. It was if Gordon heard Morris talking about how Berrios would have to throw him a fast ball. Alex didn't look amused . . . .
  15. He just suggested throwing at Soler. You don't hear that from announcers too often.
  16. Rosario with another walk. Very 2020.
  17. Royals are swinging the bat well. Not sure we should have expected great results from the pitchers we used today.
