    I blamed my dog after the game, but as the night wore on I became somewhat content that the Twins did not get blown out early, as happened so often last year. They were in it until the last at bat against one of the hottest clubs in baseball. That said, let's hope that they punish the Rangers tonight.

    Let's look at the bright side -- if this was last season the Twins would be down 10 to zero at this point -- at least the pitching has been somewhat effective. Now they need to get the bats going. That said, I am going home and will blame the dog for the lack of runs, and he will, as always, look guilty.
