    And if the Twins liked what they saw in Garcia, they could go out and get him as a FA this winter. I don't hate him on a team friendly deal As for the trade, love it. Makes Yankee fans upset, adds much needed pitching depth. Well done Falvine

    Very true. And I know that you can't measure wins in could of's and should of's, but the Twins could have and probably should have gone 5-4 or 4-5 against the Dodgers and Astros this year. How much of a difference would Buxton and Sano being available for the whole Dodger series. I think Buxton makes the catch on Utley's double and the Twins salvage win last night. But then Granite's bat is out of the lineup, so who knows. I'm rambling now, probably from the lack of sleep because west coast games suck. (sorry west coast people on this board) Are the Twins at the level of the Dodgers and Astros? Absolutely not. Far from it. The Twins need to learn from these series and learn how to win and finish games. They got an advanced course in those Dodger and Astro series'.

    Absolutely. Growing pains. I can think of 3 games off the top of my head that I'm sure they'd like to have back. (16 inning Rays game followed by the 1st Astro game, then this one.)

    Considering where expectations started this season and how most of the past 6 years have been, hanging out around .500 the rest of the way is not the worst way to spend August and September.

    But in all honesty, maybe they thought Bortolo was going to be bad anyway and possibly retire. Then with Buxton coming back tomorrow, you wouldn't need a 5th starter until what August 5th? Its a terrible thought process to punt a game, but its a thought

    Agreed on the send call. Grossie should've been planted at 3rd. My comment was more on the nearly immediate nature of a good thing happening after a bad thing.
