    OK. Now your trip is making some sense. Trains in the USA are very embarrassing. It's not like Europe. Part that has to do with the size of the US. I've met some Europeans that have a hard time grasping that concept.

    Are you then planning on flying to Minnesota from New York? Because driving would take a while. Even driving from New York City to Rochester is going to take a while. Google maps estimated it to be about 5 1/2 hour drive. I was trying to find a comparison for you as well. So, the drive from NYC to Rochester would be a little longer than driving from Copenhagen to Hamburg. Driving from NYC to Minneapolis would take you about as long as it take to drive from Copenhagen to Rome. So, like I said, that is quite the road trip.

    Following Hicksie's home run, Gladden was talking about Hicks and referencing him having a chance at being rookie of the year. It would be a pretty sad rookie class if the ROY had a hard time getting his BA above the Mendoza line. I know Hicks is doing a lot better lately, but I think he'd really have to step it up to win that.

    You could find examples of it not working out as well. It's a crap shoot. You shouldn't judge all long term contracts by one other contract, good or bad.

    And the two third basemen should really prevent anything from getting through the left side of the infield. ;-) I'm not watching the game yet. I assume Plouffe is the DH today? It wouldn't make sense to me to have Carroll be the DH.

    That's no fair. Stop examining plays applying the rules to them. Well, personally, I didn't think he interfered with fielding the ball. It was a bad throw, which is why he was hit.

    Oh, that's why he was called out. He ran the base line too well.

    It was an awful call. Thomas was running perfectly in the baseline. He got hit with the throw while stepping on first base. I don't know how you could be out of the baseline if you're stepping on the base. Just shameful.

    I forgot it was a day game! Turned on the game just in time to see Florimonster get caught stealing. I thought we would be losing by more than this already.

    I tried to calculate the odds. Unfortunately, my excel spreadsheet just returned a value of "James, You're going to want to have a drink before this number is displayed."

    Do moral victories get recorded on the standings somehow? If not, they should. The Twins need the extra help.
