A thought just occurred to me. It is now September, which now means no matter how bad Ryan Presley may implode, there is pretty much no chance that we end up sending him back to the Red Sox. Rule 5 winner!

I almost hope they lose exactly 90 games this year. Better draft position for the Twins, and I don't lose a $100 bet.

I'm pretty sure he's going to be there to stand in the batters box and watch breaking balls so starts to recognize which ones to swing at and which ones to lay off. He was only walking 5.6% of his plate appearances this year. Also, a SO/BB ratio of 115/31 in Low A ball is not a great sign. He had a great season. I'm not going to deny him that, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have anything to work on. -
What if the Twins need this game to get the 3rd overall draft pick rather than the 4th in next year's draft. I'd say it's pretty important then.

Of course we want Hendriks to develop into a good pitcher. But only good when he's on our team and we can trade him for a good prospect when we get a better pitcher up. He can suck it up after we get something good for him. #pipedream

We'll have to wait and see how the Midwest league playoffs go, but hopefully we can make that statement about the Twins' A- team compared to Houston's A- team too.
