  1. Wolves. They have a clear path to dominance for the next 4-6 years. They’re the best MN team right now, and it’s only the beginning. As soon as the warriors core begins to splinter, it’s on.
  2. Vargas would project to have strong numbers if only he can accumulate 500 at bats in a season. Problem is, there’s no way he’ll ever get that many opportunities with this team. Shouldn’t come as news that this team’s had an excess of corner infielders in recent history. Cream rises to the top. I like Kennys, but this is not the place for him.
  3. I’ve actually had the conversation with several Twins fans here in LA: “what do you think of Molitor as a manager?” We tend to agree that the Twins win despite him. Not much of a consensus, but it’s at least a verdict, locally anyway... Good for him. I’m not overly excited about the news.
  4. Not a position of need. ...Now, see, if he could also be our staff ace...Boy, that would be a horse of a different color. I mean, I wish there were a guy who could do that too! But, I say crazy things sometimes...
  5. Jimmy wants to score...great. Hope he does. But, take some reasonable shots, man. JG Buckets does NOT need to put this team on his back to win games. Awful.
  6. What the **** just happened?
  7. I am. Huge KAT fan here as well. Sometimes I think maybe expectations are just impossible for a man as young as he is and as good he's been in a short time, but I do find myself concerned. For me, the big anxiety came against the Pels. They won and all, but going into a game where it's all about KAT vs the NO front court and he fouls himself into a totally worthless showing...not good. The Brow wins again. But, all in all, I think KAT will figure things out in time. His deficiencies (block chasing, poor transition) are things you expect a young guy to be able to overcome with the right teaching.
  8. Hey, that's dynamite and all, but this team is cooked.
  9. I read on ESPN that the Twins are among the three teams with the most money to spend on Shohei Ohtani. Not sure if money has anything to do with Ohtani's decision making, but that sure isn't what I'd call bad news.
  10. I'm calling a big win in Oaktown tomorrow night. Wolves are hot and rested. They've been doing a good enough job lately of protecting the perimeter to keep a few 3's off the board for the warriors. Jimmy's going to clamp down on KD, and Wiggy's going to go off for 30+. Should be a fun one.
  11. On the other side of that coin, it's perfectly possible that Thibs does not belong in this era of basketball.
  12. Yes, or the problem is thinking too much about individual pieces, instead of focusing on a team identity. Thibs' philosophy is clearly at odds with many of the pieces on this roster.
  13. Rubio is not an average PG. He's not on par with the best of the best, but his defense alone puts him closer to them than the alternative. His vision, passing, and defense would look really, really good on this team. He can't shoot, I get it. Plenty of guys on the Wolves are willing to shoot the ball all night.
  14. Ricky was perfect for this team. I could cry.
  15. Word. I was thinking about it last nigh, man. How does this team GIVE AWAY one of the best defensive PGs in the league like that? What would you give up to bring him back?
  16. They cannot be this bad without Butler. I mean, how?
  17. I sure won't rip you for any of that. Wiggins, great as he was in the first three games, has a lot of maturing to do. Teague is not a very good basketball player, as far as I can tell. Soooooo many open shots for the opposing offense while the Wolves don't even move their feet on the other end. Gotta be better than that.
  18. Man, that was brutal. Towns is really pissing me off with on D. No way should a man his size be that much of a sieve one on one. Also, I heard Wiggins was dressed tonight...
  19. Having a hard time deciding what to watch tonight. If I want something to talk about with my friends tomorrow, I'll watch the wolves. If I want to talk about something with Grandpa tomorrow, I'll watch WS. If I want to stay on the boss's good side, I'll watch the Wild. October, man...I'm leaning T-Wolves with bits of WS throughout.
  20. Seemed like we had it licked for a while there. Now, not so much.
  21. Well, I've been impressed with Taj so far. It would be good to get Dieng some more minutes, and as the season progresses, it's sure to happen. But, Gibson's bringing some physicality and defensive intensity that other bigs on this team (*coughKATcough*) sorely lack.
  22. Also, Teague...doesnt suck, but he's no Ricky Rubio. I want so badly to change this face, but so far, these guys have been brutal.
  23. Never would I have imagined that offense would be a problem for this team. But, good god, somebody do something off ball. Geez Louise.
  24. Well, they're calling it a 'fracture' of the ankle until they know more, but his foot practically fell off, so...Idk. Anyone's guess?
  25. The real stinging salt in the wound has to be how utterly inferior the Celtics look against the Cavs right now. Thomas is not even on the damn active roster yet. Yeesh.
