  1. Lions jumped out to a 21-0 lead in the first 7 minutes against the saints and now only lead 27-21. Too bad we didn’t win Monday.
  2. Seattle drops to 6-6 and and 5-4 in conference. Vikings are 6-3 in the nfc so they are currently the 6 seed 😂
  3. It is exciting but the incessant flags are a joke
  4. Absolute ref show tonight in favor of Dallas
  5. At this point they would have two top 5 picks since they traded with Carolina last year. I wouldn’t be shocked if they drafted a qb
  6. I’m so sick of Dallas. All the media attention and hype every single year. Struggling with Seattle
  7. Ha, I said that weeks ago and everyone boo’ed me soundly. The longer the season goes, the more teams appear to be in the market for a drafted QB. The following teams could draft one IMO: cardinals, bears, giants, falcons, saints, Bucs, rams, falcons, patriots, jets, and possibly Vegas and the broncos. Pretty much all those teams will finish ahead of the Vikings except for maybe Denver. The position is so important to success and failure, teams will overdraft on QBs. Remember, Zack Wilson went TWO OVERALL. He doesn’t even appear to be a competent backup at this point. Vikings went on a run and hurt their draft status. And they may not even make the playoffs, at the benefit of the packers. Worst of all worlds
  8. It could win but hard to compete going up against an elite passing team that can score quickly. You get down by two touchdowns as a run first team and it’s awfully hard to come back
  9. I think that’s the big difference lately though: such a reliance on the passing game that you really don’t have a realistic shot if your QB goes down. At least in the older days you could lean on a run game. But not now. The bengals season was over the minute burrow went down. Same way with cousins/vikings and Rodgers/jets. Seasons were done the second they went down. It’s just tough when the health of one position out of 22 guys on the field controls the fate of every team.
  10. I mean, it was ok to whack quarterbacks in the 70s when teams threw 18 passes a game. I don’t really care to watch backups attempt to play quarterback. It’s bad football
  11. The NFL has a problem with quarterbacks. Its amazing to me that, considering all the people that play football,(estimated to be about 5 million/year) from pee wee up through the pros, only a handful of guys can play the position competently at the NFL level. How many decent starting qbs are there in the nfl? A dozen? 15? Imagine any other profession having that few competent people who can do the job. A contact sport that relies so heavily on one position for a team’s success or failure is not good. No other sports relies so heavily on one position. And the drop off between the starter and the back up is immense. The difference between a Dobbs and a Cousins when it comes to passing is huge. I don’t know how the NFL fixes the problem, I don’t think it can. But it is a problem.
  12. The great mystery is why he was trying to make him be a pocket passer all night when he so obviously can’t be. The perfect time to roll him out and give him a RPO was the drive after the fumble. Instead of running into a brick wall twice and then throwing a pass with almost zero chance of even getting enough yardage for a first down or closer FG try. That last series of downs was criminal negligence on his part. Trying to bleed the clock with 3:40 left
  13. Right now there are 6 teams with either 5 or 6 wins. Vikings have the tiebreaker over the saints, falcons and packers. And they also have the best conference record at 6-3. Rams have the browns ravens and 49ers left, so I can’t imagine them making it Packers only tough game left is the chiefs this Sunday, which I would expect to be a loss. Other than that, they have the giants, bears, panthers, Vikings and bucs. Very winnable games atlanta and New Orleans will probably knock the other out Seattle has Dallas, SF, eagles and the Steelers coming up in 4 consecutive weeks. They could easily get knocked out. But after last nights disaster, I’m not sure the Vikings will win any of their remaining games (unless the lions rest guys).
  14. As I said, the players aren’t going to do that intentionally and the schedule has been pretty soft. Maybe the plan was to have Hall play out the season, which might have taken care of the losing on its own. But once Hall got hurt in the first quarter of his first game, they HAD to go with Dobbs who just happened to pull a couple games out of his behind. Now with 5 games left, maybe they ride it out with Hall and see what he has. But the fan in me would absolutely hate to see the packers bump us out of the playoffs. And that’s what’s shaping up to happen.
  15. You can’t expect professional athletes and coaches to try and lose. Especially when the average career length in the NFL is about 3 years. All the players and coaches have their careers to worry about, they aren’t going to go out and intentionally suck just so the team can get a better draft pick to satisfy the fans. I wouldn’t haven’t been upset with a 4-13 finish, but once we went to 6-4 I wanted to see them in the playoffs.
  16. I’d like to be stuck with a really good quarterback
  17. Haha I haven’t had the pleasure of having one yet. Not yet 40. But they make me nervous. Going under and all
  18. The football equivalent of a colonoscopy
  19. Very hard to do And this was the first time all season that a team won a game without scoring a TD
  20. Vikings have allowed one touchdown in the last two games and went 0-2
  21. I’m so disgusted lol I used to get really angry about losses to the point where people wouldn’t be around me 😂 then I got older and stopped caring as much. But man I am livid over this loss.
  22. All we’ve accomplished is ****ing up our draft position while eventually ****ing up our playoff chances. Classic Vikings
  23. 3rd road win for the bears in the last two seasons. ****ing terrible
  24. After going 6-4 I stopped caring about draft spot.
  25. And get a new ****ing punter. Wright has been below average all year. Can’t pin anyone inside the ten if his life depended on it
