  1. Absolute masterclass inside the 10
  2. Look at the Vikings top ten picks this millennium. Yeah, there’s Adrian Peterson at 7 and Anthony Barr at 9. I also see Troy Williamson at 7 and Matt Kalil at 4. The Steelers have had exactly two top ten draft picks this millennium. How are they doing? With the amount of time some spend hoping for losses to improve draft placement, you’d think it would guarantee something.
  3. Johnny Mundt didn’t care
  4. 2nd and 30, not much in the playbook for that
  5. Embarrassing, doors blown off by another divisional opponent. One with nary much to play for
  6. Because it’s a fool’s game. If getting better draft picks was the key to success, teams like the lions and browns wouldn’t haven’t sucked eggs for decades. Ask the panthers what their great draft spot did for them last year
  7. There absolutely is a crowd that has wanted to see losses for months
  8. There absolutely is a crowd that has wanted to see losses for months
  9. Last several games must be a blast for the “I want to lose” crowd
  10. Just truly awful defense since the raiders game
  11. I could see Mullens returning but not the other two. There just aren’t very many serviceable backups out there to think we can easily sign one. Then again if you draft a QB, Mullens would probably go elsewhere
  12. Mullens to start Sunday, as expected
  13. I think everyone knows what he has by now. He’s had training camps, preseason games, some in game action, practices. There’s nothing left to see. That’s why he was pulled at half time. He’s a third stringer. The only things you’re going to get by giving him another start are 1) blown out, which should matter to the rest of the players if they have any pride and 2) WRs in the hospital with his errant passes. He’s got no shot of being the backup next year. Maybe third at best, but that will probably be Mullens if they draft a QB behind kirk
  14. They scored 48 points In mullens’ two starts. In dobbs last 3 starts, they scored 30 points. Dobbs was given a fair shot, he’s not owed anything
  15. Yards can lead to points. That’s like saying getting hits is pointless if you don’t win. I’d rather the lineup that can get 8 hits on a nightly basis
  16. And that’s certainly not high praise, but the team clearly felt he was good enough to back up Kirk two years in a row. I don’t fault the Vikings for having him on the roster. In fact I wouldn’t be shocked if he’s back next year (although unlikely). Mullens would have been fine as a short stint fill in. Asking him or any backup quarterback to play half a season, his shortcomings are going to be exposed. I just don’t think there are very many truly solid backups in the league. There aren’t even 20 solid starters.
  17. Yuck, no thanks. Mullens is the only one of the 3 who showed consistency moving the ball. It’s unfortunate that his mind goes bonkers and he turns the ball over too much with wild throws he shouldn’t make. I think at the end of the day, you go with the guy who can move the offense. They all turn it over way too much but Mullens at least has reasonable throwing accuracy
  18. He’s no Foge Fazio, that’s for sure
  19. JJ McCarthy with one of the worst interceptions you’ll see, right off the bat. Although negated by a penalty. He’ll fit right in in purple!
  20. Lost in the moment is that the Vikings are now in last place, albeit tied with the bears. Did NOT see that coming after 6-4 happened
  21. To be fair I was pretty drunk from about midway through the 2nd quarter on 😂
  22. Wow. Maybe they were smaller blitzes then. Barely noticeable
  23. The more I think about what happened last night, the more I get the feeling that the team knew they had no shot going in considering the quarterback and injuries. That was the worst game of the year. KOC gave the people what they wanted, knowing it would be a disaster.
  24. Yes and that goes back to zimmer too, who was always good for drafting bad players in the secondary. But still, we need lots of help on defense.
