3 pretty horrendous ABs in that inning. This...has not been a good start to the year. Wish we could see some signs of life. Hasn't felt like we've been in either game, yet both have been close.
I may very well have a short memory, but there are very few first series of the year that stand out to me as being well played by our team. We seem to stink, hard, for the first week of the season. Have to wonder what's up (if this continues).
It will be interesting to see if the offense repeats the same anemic start that it did the first few games on 2015. Really only one threatening inning offensively tonight. The rain thing was a tough call. Radar showed steady rain for hours. Ruined the whole day, but if anything is impossible to predict, it's the weather. Santana wasn't exactly looking sharp before the delay.
With the Angels and Astros now winning, I have the same thought watching tonight unfold as I usually do on most of my dates: "that couldn't have gone much worse"
If this is indeed the end, pretty sad way to go out. Young was hanging meatball after meatball and we haven't had a hit since the second inning. Second straight night of putrid offense. No can do in October
