  1. Can this highlight be found anywhere online? Missed it as I was flipping back and forth between the Wild game last night.
  2. Along with Santana, Hughes, Gibson, Duffey, and Nolasco. Wasn't sure which one of those you were leaving off the 25-man in place of Tonkin and Pressly.
  3. Leaving Milone out? Fien and Pressly both have an option left but I think you need Abad, Milone, and Perkins all for LHRP. Unless you take a bench spot away for 8 RP's but I don't think that's a good idea either.
  4. It almost looks like they intentionally illuminated the right side of Mauer to disguise how plain and ugly the rest of the jersey is. Couldn't agree more that it looks like a BP jersey.
  5. Yup, all six arbitration eligble players have signed. Totaled about $22.96M. Twins now have 14 guys under contract for about $99M.
  6. Here's Colin Cowherd ranting on why the Twins are not a "small-market" team shortly after the 2010 season. One of my favorites and a great listen!
  7. I'm not familiar with that interview. Is this what you were referring to? http://www.startribune.com/q-and-a-assistant-gm-rob-antony/88887222/
  8. You're correct on all of that. Two option years remaining and with only 8 days of service time accumulated, the Twins will likely control through 2022, heading into the 2023 season.
  9. Why the rush to lock him up when you have control for another 6 years through 2021? There's no harm in waiting to see how he pans out at least until his arbitration years.
  10. Ah you're right, I hadn't seen that statement on record. I knew they had already made the full payment but it just seems like an odd way documenting expenses.
  11. If you put a down payment on a house, you don't spread that out in your budget for the life of your payment. The payment was made up front and should be reflected in the payroll as such.
  12. I'm fairly new to the site, I was looking around trying to find some answers to questions and enjoyed reading the threads that it's now become more of a daily read for me. Now that I've graduated and moved back to the cities, I'm trying to get back into the prospect/statistic junkie I used to be. Maybe someone can help me out with Spring Training being the not-too-distant future, but I'm trying to get a handle of what players on the 40-man rosters have options left. This information seems difficult to find. As far as I can tell.. Santana, Nunez, Arcia, and Tonkin are out of options. Vargas and Pressley have 1. Do Rosario, Buxton, Sano, Duffey, Park, Graham, May, Kepler have all 3? Anyone I'm missing? If someone has a source they use or could provide some insight, it'd be greatly appreciated!
  13. Off topic in regards to Santana, but is there anyone else on the active roster with option years left other than Vargas with 1 year? Sort of difficult to find this information because I was trying to figure out if Kepler would still have all 3 years since technically hasn't been optioned back down since being called up, despite being on the 40-man roster for some time.
  14. Was his first option year used in 2013 at AAA while on the 40-man roster, despite not playing on the active roster?
  15. He still has at least two more option years despite this being his 4th year on the 40-man roster, right?
  16. You clearly wouldn't want to bring him in Opening Day to gain that extra year of control. Do you think bringing him up anywhere past July would be to eliminate the chance of potentially gaining Super-2 arbitration the same year as Duffey and Kepler in 2019? Or is that just overthinking?
