  1. Magnifico pitched at the University of Oklahoma....fastball in the 98-100 range
  2. With 3 k's and 1 walk Batts would have a 9 to 3....k to bb in that game NOT the 12 to 3 that you reported
  3. Expect the Twins to take catcher Blake Baxendale, younger brother of Twins Farmhand DJ Baxendale. Was a top 200 prospect for the 2012 draft. Chose to attend Arkansas. One of the top power bats in the country.
  4. Some really good arms slated to pitch down on the farm tomorrow.... Rogers, Duffey + Gonsalves
  5. Don't look now... Bax has been named Twins Daily POD after all 5 of his starts !!!
  6. Actually in all 5 of Baxendale's 2015 starts he has not allowed a run, earned or unearned, thru the first 6 innings....he is only 2-0 because the Lookouts average 1 run for his last 4 starts... Interesting stat, he is the only Twins Minor League pitcher whose team has NOT lost on the day he was the starting pitcher.
  7. Pretty simple on the earned runs for Myers...a relief pitcher can't be penalized for a putting an inherited runner out on a fielders choice.
  8. Just did some quick research on your picks for Pitcher of the Day.... Did you know that Baxendale is the ONLY pitcher who was named Pitcher of the Day after every one of his starts in the Month of April. Your #1 choice was only named POD in 2 of his 4 April starts....interesting !!
  9. You chose the right 4 but have them in the wrong order... Dean Baxendale Hu Gondalves The level they pitch at has a lot to do with how impressive the accomplishment is. Dean and Bax did it at AAA + AA. Bax also started the AA season on a 18+ scoreless steak (30+ if you count his last 2 starts in the FSL playoffs). You however have shown to be biased to the "Top" prospects, so your order is not surprising. The great thing about baseball is the game doesn't know if you are a 1st rounder or 39th rounder, it only know performance and production.
  10. Baxendale has been the Twins Dailey pitcher of the day after each of his first 4 starts. He has not yielded a run in the first 6 innings of any of his starts. Going back to his 2 playoff starts, he has yielded 3 earned runs in his last 38 innings (.070 era). Appears to be healthy and back to his 2013 form.
  11. Baxendale seems to be healthy and returning to his 2013 form when he absolutely dominated the FSL. The Barons line up is potent as proven by what the did against Berios and Peavy. The Lookouts starters are pretty dominate with Duffey, Berios and Baxendale. After 2 starts, Duffey and Bax have combined to pitch over 26 scoreless innings with 30 k's
  12. So you are saying that the JV team is better than the Varsity ??? Too bad MLB is so much about the $$$.....this wouldn't happen at any other level....worse than Daddy Ball.
  13. Lee was not very good at the end of the year. Unfortunately, they only remember what you did lately. His stuff is a little fringy but he really competes.
