    The Twins have the 5th best record in Baseball after today. Do the strikeouts bother you that much? Howard's 100+ RBI would and could only help with our offensive production. Strikeouts and all. Howard's 2012 and 2013 seasons were filled with injury. Last year was a solid return considering he was coming back from a major injury. This year is a typical Howard year.

    Arcia had a .229 ISO in AA and a .103 ISO in MLB this season Vargas had a .191 ISO in AA and a .114 ISO in MLB this season Dozier had a .183 ISO in AA and a .223 ISO in MLB this season Rosario had a .128 ISO in AA and a .137 ISO in MLB this season Plouffe had a .141 ISO in AA and a .193 ISO in MLB this season Arcia had great minor league numbers and his ISO got worse while Dozier had ok minor league numbers and raised his ISO as a MLB regular. What will be the fate of the guys on this leaderboard?

    Neither of these guys is hitting over .250 BA. Imagine when they truly start to figure it out. These ISO numbers are outstanding. Isolate Power (IsoP): Adam Brett Walker (.286), Byron Buxton (.240), Miguel Sano (.233), Rating ISO Excellent 0.250 Great 0.200 Above Average 0.170 Average 0.140 Below Average 0.120 Poor 0.100 Awful 0.080

    I love all their Lookout Prospects. Kepler seems to be putting that swing together as well. The Twins will have plenty of options in a year or 2. Thank God we are not even 1/4 of the season into things. It will be interesting to see how things unfold. Love how Walker leads the Lookout in RBI despite batting 7th all season in a loaded lineup. I'm still not sure how RBI can be so predictive. He has hit 4th - 5th - 6th and 7th in his career and seems to find a way.

    I never said HR & SLG. I said HR - RBI - SLG - XBH - TB & Runs for that matter. The only person you listed that was close to that was Nate Gold and his AA & AAA numbers were outstanding, even in your eyes. Let's agree in saying Walker has a lot of improving to do. No question. I just can't dismiss what he has done up to this point on a yearly basis. He is also consistent with his OBP (.310ish yearly)

    That would go for Harrison as well. If he doesn't adjust and start hitting for power - he won't make it either. Not alot of .280 corner outfielders who average 8 HRs per year. Don't get me wrong - I believe Harrison will start hitting for power and be a solid MLB player. I also believe that Walkers floor is Mark Reynolds who has been around forever. He will adjust. It has only been 1 month in AA for all those guys. What's the rush? Granted there are a lot of high SO / low BB prospects in AA who have never made it to the Show. All I asked was for you to find the 1 prospect who has done what Walker has (in terms of league leading) and never made it to the Show? He is just a different dude. Strangely / Oddly / Anomaly like success in terms of continued production with 1 major flaw.

    Question was asked before: Name the last Twin (MLB) to have led every minor league level in HRs? Not Close, but Led Name the last Twin (MLB) to have led every minor league (full season) level in RBI & Total Bases? Not Close, but Led Name the last Twin Prospect in (AA) to have ever led their league in HRs; RBI; TB; XBH; SLG%; at any point in a season? Not Close, but Led Name the last Twin Prospect (any level) to have an OBP of .310 and leads his team in Runs Scored and/or placed 2nd in that category at years end? Not near the Top, but 1st or 2nd consistently If we are to compare Walker to the norm, than let's compare him to people who have performed like him. Not Close to what he does, but Leads in those particular categories yearly (I'm still waiting?) Then we can say that history shows this or history shows that. He has been as consistent as any player in their system on a yearly basis. He is obviously figuring some things out or he wouldn't be performing at a League leading level in production. Every player has flaws. The key is to offset those flaws with what you do well. If OBP is such a major contribution, we never should have demoted Aaron Hicks last year. His was amongst the highest on the Twins despite the low BA. What do you bring to the table and is it enough to help us win games? When people stop performing to their gifts (best tool) is when I get worried. Walker has yet to slip in that category, so..................The rest is just work in progress All that said - Walker higher ceiling and higher floor

    Do any of these players remind you of any current Twins in their minor league careers and if so is that a good thing or bad thing? Why? Can you name any recent Twins who have excelled based on your preferences (minor league make up)? Have they become stars or just regulars? Has their been carry over from their minor league make up?

    Harrison does provide doubles potential as he did last year. That said - Walker hit 35 doubles 2 years ago and already has 7 doubles this year to go with 9 HRs. The question becomes - If each were to improve in their deficiencies, which would be the better prospect? If Harrison tapped into his power potential and hit even 20 more HRs than last year (making 23 HRs).................................. If Walker improved his contact rate and/or OBP to .330 instead of .310 (lifetime avg.)..................... Who would then have the better numbers and prove to be the better prospect? The great part is that they both play well together and could be a part of a great Twins future.

    What average would Walker need by July 1st in order to get his first ever mid season promotion? Assuming he continues power numbers.

    Walker is consistent with similar stats at every level. Other guys most definitely have the better OBPs, but he generally has 20 more HRs and 40 more RBI than those guys. He also consistently scores more than them despite getting on base less. This was brought up in the past and seems to be somewhat true. Maybe he should be judged on his merits alone and not the norm? What he does is not typical by any means.

    It would probably translate to more strikeouts. That's why they put him in AA. To learn and get better. I'm just stating that is nice to see the upside (power) at a higher level (AA) as he works on refining his glaring flaw (contact). 110 more games to do so before we have to decide on 40 man roster spot - Keep hope alive folks. Maybe this is the level he repeats next year if he can't make adjustments. Or he does the same thing at AAA next year while working on that Zone recognition. Only management knows.

    Walkers overall numbers are not pretty, but they are consistent throughout the years. He leads the Southern League in HRs and Extra Base Hits (62% of his hits are XBH). He is second in the league in SLG; and Total Bases. He leads the league in K's but has the same amount of BB as Polanco. Neither walks much. Everyone expected him to struggle along with most of the Lookout players as they took that step up to AA. I expect the Power stays the same as he figures out the strike zone this season. For me - All signs are pointing up. Walker is on pace for: 35+ HR / 30+ 2B / 275 TB / 200 K / 100+ RBI and in AA. And that is if he doesn't figure it out!

    Promote Brett Lee to the Lookouts and watch those guys take off. He is the missing piece to their championship run, He's been with these guys for 2 championships in 3 years and had the best record on the staff the one year they didn't win the championship. Bret Lee - Brett Lee - Brett Lee.

    Adam Brett Walker: Is this a better or worse season than last year thus far? Last year in High A, thru May 8th (33 games), Walker's stat line read: 5 HR, 2 2B, 19 RBI, 40 K's, 9 BB, and a .225 BA. This year in AA, thru May 8th (24 games), Walker's stat line reads: 7 HR, 6 2B, 16 RBI, 37 K's, 7 BB, and a .247 BA Walk rate better, K rate not so much. Production no question IMO.
