    I think the penalty is fine, especially when it was shown it was a one man thing and that one many is spending 4 years in jail.

    Twins couldn't insist. They talked to the team and the team decided to do things different, as is their right. DR leagues don't have to follow what MLB teams say.

    I think it's a huge hit on the Cards and a very nice get for the Astros. According to what I just heard on MLB Now, the top 100 picks is where a huge chunk of talent comes from and the Astros get two more (have five total). Those two picks plus 2M. I do wonder if the Cards saw the penalty coming and that's why they were willing to give up the draft pick to sign Fowler. They would have lost it anyway.

    IMO executive orders, for the most part, are bad policy. No matter who uses them. I wasnt for President Obama doing a bunch of them, and I am not for Trump using them either. Trump is basically trying to be dictator and you have had an organization CBP, not following orders from Federal judges because Chancellor Trump gave them illegal and unconstitutional marching orders.

    CBP ignoring federal court's order and denying lawyers (and members of Congress) to detainees. Need to be held in contempt.

    Being a very good athlete was why he wasn't going to have any problem last year in RF too though, wasn't it? Going to be very lucky if we go 4-5 years without him moving to 1B or DH.

    Why would the DR manager have to actually say that? The manager is trying to win games and instead of putting a major league shortstop who asked to play shortstop at shortstop, he didn't do that. He puts him at 2B instead (even after he talked to our FO about it). I'm not sure it was necessary to hear the DR manager come out and say, 'He isn't good enough to play shortstop at our level'. He said enough by not giving our MLB shortstop any time there.

    So, likely the only MLB starter on that team, and yet he wasn't considered good enough to play shortstop for that team even though he's going to be our starting shortstop.

    New list out, still #33 overall. #8 RHP (and #8 overall pitcher). We have 3 in the top 100. Our highest prospect is 50 (the other two are in the 90s.)

    Zobrist has been good at several positions during his career and average at a couple others. He's in his mid 30s now, so his defense is dropping a bit, but he was a very good 2B and RF, and somewhere between slightly below average-slightly above average at other positions.

    A lot of people seemed to buy into the idea that Ryan and Molitor were planning on giving him a real shot at the rotation last year when many of us, (including May as it turns out) new it was BS from the start.

These kind of quotes make me absolutely crazy.
