  1. I have no idea what happened, but I have a feeling I won't like it, whatever it was.
  2. Since we're (sorta) on the topic of Ish and Ick, I asked my friend Google a questing. I think that at long last we finally have an answer. Ish or Ick.
  3. Nothing of real importance...just a coupla Twins wins.....
  4. I'm not sure if this is right, but I think I remember hearing before that Gardy said that if we fired Rick Anderson, he'd go too. So it was kind of an all or nothing situation...and I'm enjoying nothing.
  5. How do you know Delilah didn't cut it?
  6. We're not a good team...at least according to a lot of people. We're only mediocre. The problem is, they come in thinking they'll kick us around, so they're not prepared for a mediocre team. That's why we keep winning. At least that's my hypotheses.
  7. Trey Vavra went 1-1 with an RBI double and a run scored in the 1st and a walk in the 2nd and then left the game due to an injured leg in the top of the 3rd. Hope he's going to be okay.
  8. I consider that a legitimate answer. Good job!
  9. You're on the right track. Keep thinking and you'll get it. I know you will.
  10. I have another from Squirrel Nutkin: "A house full, a hole full! "And you cannot gather a bowl-full!"
  11. I know that Clay Buchholz wasn't too hot last year - or should I say he was quite the opposite - but I wouldn't have guessed in my wildest dreams that Mike Pelfrey would be the better player by far in a match between the two at the beginning of this season. On a slightly different note, it's almost done raining where I live. Hope it lets up at Target Field soon, too. Here is a picture of the Round Rock Express' field the other day; hopefully this doesn't happen to us. And Bark, you beat me to it. I knew that one without Googling, thanks to my childhood friend Beatrix Potter and her sassy character Squirrel Nutkin.
  12. Trey Vavra has played in 5 games since my last update, picking up 8 hits and a walk in 24 appearances; all of those hits were singles. He didn't play in yesterday's game versus the Beloit Snappers, but I'm assuming he will be in tonight's lineup versus the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. Here is a link to a video of a home run he hit off of Wisconsin's Zach Hirsch on April 21st, bringing in the first 3 runs of a 10-1 Kernels' win: http://www.milb.com/multimedia/vpp.jsp?content_id=84098683&sid=milb
  13. Well, apparently what's said in GTs stays in GTs, so.....
  14. When the Twins first signed him I made up what I thought would be a very good nickname for him. Ricky Nolossco. I was disgusted at first, but it if apparently it was his bad twin pitching all that time...yeah, Nolossco it is. For me at least. I'm not asking anyone to jump on the bandwagon.
  15. I read the whole thread. I don't know what happened in the game. Still. Can't seem to grasp it. What did happen? Did we get a new pitcher?!
  16. Boy oh boy. Eight. I said EIGHT games above .500.
  17. BALLGAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Or throwing his helmet in a temper tantrum that reminded his mom of the good ole days?
  19. And I carefully said the opposite of what he wanted me to say. But to you...no comment.
