  1. Which is the worse 7-9 Casilla, Butera, Carroll or the 2009 Harris, Tolbert, Punto ---- It's a toss up to me.
  2. Yeah, compare the sox's 6-9 and it's a landslide of talent difference. "Casilla, Butera, Carroll" sounds like runs!
  3. Thanks for the update. Hunter was great at the surprise bunt, hopefully Mauer can too.
  4. I was hoping he was at least bunting for a hit. If the defense shifts on him, he should put down a bunt to keep them honest, but this normally doesn't happen with a runner on first, nor should Mauer bunt at all with a runner on. Maybe he was trying to stay out of the 4-6-3 he likes to hit into at times.
  5. Gameday said that Mauer sac bunted Revere to second. Is this so? If so, wtf?
  6. Our offense could really be something if Morneau could get back to something close to his pre concussion effectiveness. Nice defense Casilla.
  7. Really Span? How did that happen for those of us not getting a live picture.
  8. Anything else? The poem? Edit: I looked it up. Nice.
  9. Whatever, if the Saints think this is great marketing ploy, great. They are a private enterprise and can (should be able to) appeal to and promote.... and contrariwise alienate and reject whomever and whatever they want.
  10. You're kidding right? Maybe not in the name of atheism, but as a necessary condition, all kinds of suffering has come at the hands of those who replace a deity as a first or limit principle and insert a person, group, government, ideology or some other authoritarian institution in it's place.
  11. Agreed. You bring in your closer(s) with 2 out in the 8th and then let them finish in the ninth. These are your f ing high leverage guys....wait for it.... to pitch in high leverage situations. Swarzak is a 7th inning guy at best.
  12. Plouffe is only accurate with his mid irons. Misses a lot of fairways and greens with his woods and wedges.
  13. Ok, if span ran that out, should he be standing on second?
  14. Not blaming Mauer, the error was definitely Plouffsie's, and a horribly erroneous throw from that distance, but since Mauer is very tall and great athlete and got a glove on it, he still could have caught the ball and probably should have. He kinda rushed the catch and took his eye off the ball anticipating a bang bang tag at the plate. Good thing we got out of that black cloud of an inning.
  15. Looked to me like he should have caught it still.
  16. Good for Bert especially after eviscerating RJ throughout his career.
  17. Cole looking sharp, leave him in for one more inning.
  18. Uh... there's no way Dozier should have to make that catch, but since "ankle weights" Doumit is in left, he couldn't get there to call him off. Worked this time, but playing with fire with Doumit in the OF.
  19. Nice pitching adjustments Cole. That's great to see.
