  1. If Mauer's 2009 was an aberration due to PEDs, I'd suggest going back to it -- because either you don't get caught and smash 28 hrs/season again, or you get caught, have to sit, and this removes the tough decision of pulling him from lineup. Win/win right? /kinda snark but kinda serious <<<ducks head>>>
  2. Bye!.... off to buy a lottery ticket!
  3. Later...http://deephousepage.com/smilies/outtahere.gif
  4. Do Mauer and Vargas share the same cereal spoon? For shame!
  5. However unlikely, I don't understand why wouldn't run out a sac bunt. Stepping back out behind the batters box to watch the bunt is just silly.
  6. The magic is gone, Mr. Mauer.
  7. Yep, you've got to try it just because it is interesting. I've been many times, but haven't found any "wow" combination. In fact I like the loaded fries best.
  8. Primanti is a novelty, and not much more. Underwhelming, from the hype.
  9. Jebus, that is weak sauce Mauer.
  10. Why doesn't Joe stand 4 inches closer to the plate to more easily cover the outside of the plate and be able to pull or at least put the ball hard back up the middle? I don't ever see him get brushed back, so dare the pitcher to move you off the plate a bit -- and maybe get an middle-in mistake and launch it. There's still quite a margin between his stance and the plate, so the pitcher would really have to be throwing deep inside to worry Mauer with his concussion history, but may that has something to do with it anyway. Get closer to the plate. Then you make every pitcher and defense adjust to your adjustment. Without an adjustment like this, not much difference can be expected. (Plus, Joe's a nice guy, so no one's going to throw at his ear hole, right?)
  11. Rover in shallow Left/Center?
  12. Ah, but you said this a lot last year, so it all evens out. Present in the mode of absence or something.
  13. Sometimes I sense that when playing a NL team, we manage like we are in the NL. I hate anecdotes though.
