    Trade Willingham and Morneau? How many people will buy tickets to see this product.

    I guess we can all celebrate having a lower payroll but keep this in mind. The Twins had the 6th highest average ticket price last year. Twins Fans will continue to pay big market prices for tickets and food, at least the ones that are left.

    Best Manager Joe Maddon (By a Mile) There would not be accountability issues. The Younger players would live up to his standards, or they would find themselves back in the minors. Players who wanted out of the lineup would have to tell him personally, not through a Trainer. Maddon would not manage through the Newspaper. Maddon would also instill a (battle to the last Man attitude.) + 8 Wins based on attitude and accountability. Worst Manger Bobby Valentine Has made a mess of Boston in less then three weeks -10 losses at least.

    The Pohlad's will probably not spend the Money for a Pitcher such as Sheilds. A lot of Money will be coming off the Payroll next year.

    In 2 to 7 years, our current Stars will be gone. Target Field will be around for at least 30 years. I do agree that our Ball Park should play a little fairer to hitters. The Twins do not produce Ace Pitching, so the Park does play to that.

    An Independent League player has a good chance of getting signed if he can dominate and is still young. The Twins purchased pitcher Caleb Thielbar from the Saints last year. He is playing in Ft. Myers.

    Ryan says he's worried about the Bullpen? This is his Bullpen, why is he worried? This year, the market experienced a glut of proven Free agent Bullpen arms at reasonable prices. Instead, Ryan chose to go Dumpster diving. His collection of waver wire candidates cost less then a million dollars. Last fall, Terry Ryan told the season Ticket holders that "payroll would not inhibit him from doing what he needed to do to improve the Ball Club." I will take him at his word. Obviously, Ryan must feel that what he did was superior to the Teams who picked up the proven Pitchers.. If he has second thoughts this might apply (YOU MADE YOUR BED, NOW GO SLEEP IN IT!!)

    It would be very shortsighted of the Twins, to again allow Burnett to struggle and fail in the Major Leagues. He desperately needs to learn how to pitch in AAA. Several years of failing in the Big Leagues may ruin him for good.

    There is a good chance that payroll drops again next year. Less revenue= lower payroll. Next January, Phil Mackey could be defending an Eighty Two Million dollar payroll.

    Each Teams circumstances dictate the level of payroll they need. The Tampa Rays do not need a large payroll. Their farm system is producing star players. Yes Terry Ryan did more with less Money but look at who the farm system was producing back then. Do the current Twins need a little more payroll. The state of the Bullpen will give you that answer.

    One of the biggest bomb throwers at 1500 is Phil Mackey. He took some shots at the Centric Crew yesterday. He will never take a call and engage in some conversation with people he disagrees with. Its just easier to take his unopposed shots and move on. Maybe that's the reward for always being the smartest man in the room.

    The Folks on 1500 Kstp basically tow the Twins Company line. They take a lot of shots at people who they do not agree with. That's my problem with them.
